The bed was the comfiest bed we stayed in! Rustic/modern accommodation with breakfast included and beautiful outdoor spa for our leisure after 6pm! Restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and very hard to get transport to the accomodation as it’s a dirt road and the local taxis don’t like driving on it. The taxi we did get was a local using his car so CASH ONLY. The staff were very helpful and we appreciate everything they did!

We scheduled a wine tour and tasting and due to road construction ended up being late for our scheduled visit to Salcheto Winery. I called on our way and told them we were running late so I was told we would just have a tasting. We arrived and no one else was seated at their tables. When we were finally served, the employee explained all 3 wines, poured them all, and left us with some bread and no other chance to ask about the history of the winery, etc. The wine was ok and then they tried to charge me again even though I already paid through Trip Advisor. We felt very ignored even though we paid top dollar for next to nothing. What a disappointing experience.

Salcheto is een echte aanrader. Wij verbleven een nacht en hadden geboekt voor de rondleiding, proeverij en het diner. We kregen een privé tour door het prachtige wijnhuis. Vervolgens mochten we proeven van vijf heerlijke wijnen. De kamer was perfect. Het diner was vers en goed verzorgd. Het speciaal menu van de gril werd zelfs buiten klaargemaakt! De locatie is adembenemend. De medewerkers waren enorm behulpzaam, vriendelijk en meedenkend. Kortom, een aanrader!

La vista es increíble y la paz del lugar es genial si buscas descansar. Por otro lado, la atención al cliente no fue la mejor. La recepción del hotel es difícil de encontrar y cuando por fin la ubiqué no había nadie para atenderme, tardaron varios minutos en darse cuenta que estaba allí esperando; se accede a las habitaciones por un camino de escaleras en piedra que no es muy apto para personas mayores; la persona que me recibió fue poco empática en entender que dos personas del grupo venían retrasadas porque no es fácil encontrar transporte para el lugar desde la estación del tren (recomiendo solo ir si vas en auto particular). Esta misma persona realizó el tour y parecía tener prisa en terminar, luego durante la cata de vinos, fue displicente y parecía estar regañándonos como si fuéramos niños todo el tiempo; recogió las copas aunque habíamos pedido una botella de vino más, entre otras actitudes bastante molestas que empañaron la experiencia. Lo único rescatable de la atención al cliente fue el acompañamiento recibido por parte de una de las encargadas, que hablaba perfecto español y fue siempre muy atenta.

Il posto è meraviglioso, abbiamo avuto l’occasione di poter vedere da vicino il processo produttivo del vino e di tutta la tecnologia ecosostenibile che lo accompagna. Attraverso la degustazione di vini e piatti tipici siamo stati guidati da Ruben al quale va un ringraziamento speciale per l’attenzione, la professionalità e la dedizione con cui svolge il suo lavoro.

Dopo qualche anno torniamo per goderci di nuovo l'esperienza vissuta precedentemente. Troviamo un posto trasandato, pulizia della camera non pervenuta. Ok l eco sostenibilità, ma un soffitto pieno di ragnatele e polvere ovunque non sono ammesse. Barriere architettoniche dappertutto.
