Sant'Antonio Country Resort

Stayed here for 4 nights in one of the two bedroom units (our adult daughter joined us). Loved the tranquility of the property. Nico is a wealth of information. This place has character and was a great base for touring the area. Very safe. Easy simple parking. 10 mins from Montepulciano, 20 mins from Pienza etc...

This place is the place for a reaffirming connections and is the perfect escape for a few days (or forever!!) we stayed in room 3 with the terrace in the main hotel. The estate itself was so picturesque and serene, there’s a choice of pool throughout the vineyard and each location is more tranquil than the rest. The staff, are unbelievably helpful and welcoming- they helped arrange a couples massage on the property and even had a spare travel adapter when ours blew out. We did a wine tasting with Kevin where we learned the history of the property and had a very fun lesson on wines! Down the hill from the hotel and main house there is a little restaurant which is of medium price/portion size but has a very comprehensive wine list, the food is unbelievably good but the staff are the ones who really give you a very authentically toscana dining experience (we dined there every night of our stay and were treated like family by the last night). There’s 2-3 towns within a 5-10mins drive away, where there is a coop and other stores. If there is one thing that i would say was missing, was milk in the room, there was a fantastic coffee machine, kettle and a range of tea options but no milk or sugar - though we’d nip to reception and were given some everytime :) There’s and lift and WiFi available throughout the estate which also has individual villas and apartments to rent for more privacy or bigger parties. We will definitely be back, it was a perfect refuge for our busy road trip.

We wished we had stayed here for our entire time in Italy (2 weeks). Nico and Elena could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The resort is on gorgeous grounds..a picture everywhere you turn. The room was fabulous with everything you need. We would absolutely stay again and hope that we will be able to!

I come to Sant Antonio every year quite simply because it’s the best. Montepulciano is a great town with loads of great restaurants and shops, and Sant Antonio is the ideal place to stay. Quality and customer service is second nature here. If you haven’t been you really need to. Fabulous .

From arrival to departure everything was a 10/10. Nico and Elena who own the property are the most helpful people. The apartments are second to none, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and furnished and so comfortable. The grounds around the property are simply stunning. Great views from every corner, peace and tranquility abounds. The swimming pool is a great size and the area around the pool are very well thought through and no expense has been spared. It’s little touches that really make this place, water, olive oil and wine are in your apartments at a very reasonable price to save you carting them from the shops , pool towels are provided and even logs for the several BBQs are provided. Quite simply this resort is faultless. Do yourself a favour and go and visit.

Sant' Antonio is run by Nico and Elena, two of Italy's most gracious hosts. Our friends and family have passed the secret of Sant' Antonio to each other as a treasured gift in the heart of Tuscany. The expansive grounds, orchards and facilities are incredibly beautiful, and lovingly cared for by Nico and Elena. However, the two hosts are the real treasure. Nothing is too trivial or too much trouble for them to assist any traveller fortunate enough to spend time at the resort. Recently we passed on the recommendation to stay at Sant' Antonio to yet another dear friend, this one travelling alone to Italy for the first time. Nico worked with our friend over several months by email helping with logistics, trip planning and moral support. We have been so grateful for the care and attention devoted by Nico and family to all who we have shared the recommendation to stay at the resort.
