"Everything was good except the fact of someone pounding on my door at 1:00am then they took off! It was ridiculously unacceptable as they think it’s funny! Other then that, the view of the beach from our room was spectacular. Well worth the cost. Checking in/out was quick and easy."
"Great location! I had a conference at the Monterey Conference which is less than a 3 min walk! Only thing was that there was no AC, I’m so used to assuming that hotels always have AC, but it was my bad for not checking ahead of time. I asked for a roll out bed, and they were able to provide that, depending on availability at no extra cost. Had a good stay! Quite historical hotel."
"Check-in went smooth; top notch room & views of the harbor and bay. This is the safest hotel near the Monterey sea. In house lounge and restaurant. Gorgeous room with huge shower, balcony and comfy bed. Worth every penny. Valet, parking and nice cleaning staff too. Prime location; it was very busy with a conference happening but still great!!"

"The overall price/performance ratio is relatively low, the rooms are relatively old, and the scenery is really not good in the United States. The wind blowing in from the balcony is also a bit unpleasant, and you need to charge dozens of knives to the hotel, including taxes, parking fees, etc."
"The feeling is that the Indians opened the hotel, and the hallway and the room have a scent of Indian oil. We arrived at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and immediately sent us a check in. Parking is free after registering the license plate. Although it is a suite but only a large bed, the hotel is still a bit far from the city. Not good for an extra bed but can sleep alone in the sofa. The breakfast was very simple and there was no meat. Clean and odorless. There is indeed a fireplace available."
"Good location, walk 10 minutes to the old fisherman's wharf, there is a Chinese supermarket on the right.
The room structure is reasonable and easy to use, and the bedding and sofa are comfortable.
Cold meals are available at 16:00 in the lobby, ham cheese fruit wine is very good.
No hot food for breakfast and no meat, sorry.
Overall good and worth recommending.
Monterey town is beautiful, there is no parking near the aquarium, 17miles is beautiful, and the coastline of camel town is stunning."

"1. There is free parking, but it is actually on the side of the road. When you checkin, ask yourself. 2. There is free WiFi but the signal is normal, sometimes it will break 3. The location is too inconspicuous. On the roadside, when the black sky arrives, it is invisible. It is 1.2 kilometers away from the center. If it is very inconvenient to eat here, it is quite dark, and there is basically no parking space in the center. 4. The front desk big sister is very nice 5. The room is very small, but the bed is still very large 1.8m, the box is basically not moving, there is no table, there is no place to put some things. 6. There is no heating or air conditioning. California is still cold in early March. Her husband is still wearing a nightgown to sleep. The nightgown is very thick and has hairy inside. 7. Great breakfast is great, great choice, coffe or tea, orange juice, first baked bread, butter or honey kumquat sauce, husband selected smoked salmon, my choice of potato bacon omelet, They are delicious, and they are very good. On the 8.4-floor terrace, you can see a little sea and grow a lot of meat."
"The hotel is very nicely decorated with antiques by the owners. The rooms are very confortable.
Breakfast is served between 8.30 and 9.30. We enjoyed our stay at The Jabberwock and would highly recommend it."
"The room is large, there is a coffee machine, a microwave oven, the room on the first floor, and there is an elevator on the second floor. It is a good hotel. The only fly in the ointment is that when I made coffee, I found that the coffee bag used by the previous tenant was still in the coffee machine."

Very Good
GGuest UserI’ve been to Monterey many times over the years and always considered spending a little extra to stay here. My stay was alright. The room was clean, loved the big tub and stand alone shower. Duvet was very comfortable but only thin down pillows with no support.
I was disappointed with my “ocean view” which ended up being brick wall of the building next door, with a questionable metal “balcony.” If you were brave enough to peer over you could see the ocean.
Parking is $50+ a night whether you valet or self park. We weren’t told which of the nearby parking garages were affiliated and ended up in the wrong garage the first night and had to pay double. If I stay again I’d just skip on their garage and use the one on Foam St for $20 overnight parking.
We did not visit the restaurant so cannot speak on that.
Area is fun, love the proximity to the aquarium. Lots of little touristy shops and cafes right outside on the *****.
For the price plus the additional parking fee I do not know that I’d stay here again. Driving to all the local hot spots is pretty easy so staying a little bit away from the area and spending less seems to be a better idea for me personally.
ZZiyi007The bedding is very clean, the interior and exterior environment of the hotel is very good, and the flower stands in the corridor in front of each house are planted with different flowers, which is very beautiful. It's also very close to attractions. Great value for money. The hotel has an ice machine but no dedicated source of drinking water.
GGuest UserThe Hilton Garden Inn Monterey offers a convenient, comfortable stay in the heart of this scenic California town. Guests enjoy an indoor pool, fitness center, and on-site dining, plus easy access to top attractions like the Monterey Bay Aquarium. While lacking some local charm, it provides reliable, well-priced accommodations for both leisure and business travelers.
but one of the reception woman(seems like manager) is not very polite.
AAnonymous UserThe location is splendid. Everything is alright except for the fact that we had to carry our luggage up and down the stairs to reach our room. There are in total 2 sets of stairs with small steps and our luggage was quite heavy. There is an elevator but it only carried us to to the floor and not where our hotel room is actually located. You definitely need to request for wheelchair accessible rooms if you don't want to burden yourself in carrying your heavy luggages or if you are bringing someone who is disabled or the elderly. The free breakfast had a pancake maker which was really nice.
DDingxueThe breakfast at this house is OK, there are meat, but the sound insulation effect is too bad, we live downstairs, upstairs all day long in the room, we can't sleep below, we are still walking late at night, early in the morning and started walking again, the downstairs heard very clearly, can't sleep at all, It was not easy to complain, so I didn't have a good rest.
WweihuaThe location of the hotel is not bad, but when the navigation is on the back door, it makes a few more laps. Parking is free. The room is not too big, but very clean and tidy. Both refrigerator and microwave oven are available. Breakfast was stopped due to the epidemic. Staying here after walking 17 miles and Carmel on California Highway 1 is much cheaper than Carmel! recommend!
JJINA typical American motel with a good location, just across the road is Macy's and some restaurants. There is also a drug store CVS, but unfortunately I did not buy a mask. There is a swimming pool and gym in the hotel, but the pool is small and slightly larger than the bathtub. The gym is also very small
陈陈Good location, clean small hotel with ironing board and electric kettle. Motels with good facilities in the United States. The 17miles entrance one or two kilometers away is a lot cheaper than living in Carmel
The average price for hotels in Monterey is €180 on weekdays, and €267 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
