Hotel Villa Adriana

This was our second visit and was just as good as the first. The hotel is set back from the beach down a quiet road in lovely gardens. It is quieter and gives you a chance to get away from the busyness of via Fegina. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Again, we had no complaints whatsoever. Would recommend this for a base for walking and sightseeing in the Cinque Terre.

The hotel is an easy 7-8 minute walk from the train station. There are a few steps to climb in order to reach the hotel entrance, but not difficult by Cinque Terre standards. Our room had a balcony and two twin beds pushed together, which were very comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet part of town, so we were able to leave the balcony door/window open at night to enjoy the cool evenings. The included breakfast was outstanding. We did not utilize the restaurant or bar. Front desk assistance was professional and efficient. A couple of negatives: like many European hotels, there weren't enough electrical outlets for our purposes. Also, if the shower had been any smaller, we wouldn't have been able to use it. Honestly, it's the smallest shower enclosure I have ever seen. I'm not sure if this is the case throughout the hotel.

Hotel located 100 on a side street close to the main area along the beach. The staff are very friendly & helpful Our main reason for selecting this hotel was the secure parking with is located at the front of the hotel. Hotel consists of two builds 3 stories high built up a hill, access to reception is up a steep path to the left with 2 steps then an incline followed by 14 steps, not really suited for large bags. The other option is to go to the right with no steps, we checked in first & was given a room in the second building were we could drive our small car up the right path making it much easier for us. The rooms are of standard size vinyl floor , with a compact bathroom. No tissues or no tea / coffee making facility etc in room. There is a small fridge in the room. Aircon on heat works for a while but then reverts to cool air. There is a small church & a lovely fresh water tap outside to fill your water bottles. Dinner is available each night at a very reasonable rate, the small menu changes daily, you must make your decision during the day. one night we dined in, I had duck in orange sauce with grilled veggies cooked perfectly & very tasty. My wife had a sage & butter ravioli also very nice. The breakfast is well catered for with lovely fresh fruit etc,etc, pan cooked mushrooms tomato's belly bacon mini Frankfurt's & scramble & boiled eggs of cause look warm at best like everywhere else. An exceptional offer in which they are very proud of. and rightly so.

What a lovely hotel. Quiet with very well kept gardens and plenty of places to sit and relax outside. Every member of staff we came across was delightful. The room was well thought out, very clean and there was even a radiator set to take the evening chill off the bathroom - so often bathrooms are pretty uncomfortable if the weather isn't good. The breakfast buffet was excellent offering fresh fruit - wonderful pieces of large kiwis and pineapple - cereals, eggs and a variety of pastries. And the hotel is only 5 minutes walk from Monterosso so great for arriving with cases. There's plenty of parking for the European guests who have come by car. We had a very nice 5 day stay, thank you.

Very good place to stay for travelling and hiking in Cinque Terre. Very good cost ratio friendly service and good breakfast. Recommended for single travellers as they have single rooms. Dinner was really good. Close to train station and short walk to the old town

First stay in hotel Adriana, great location close to the station, old town and of course the beach. I choose the half board and got treated to a very tasty 4 course evening meals, very good value and saved looking for restaurants after long and tiring days of hiking. Perhaps the most positive characteristic of this hotel are the very kind and friendly personal, who made my stay even more enjoyable. As a solo traveller I was well looked after and the service was excellent. My single en-suite room with shower was clean and comfortable, had a small balcony and nice views of the See and the surrounding hills. Overall I recommend this hotel, for anyone looking to base themselves in Monterosso, ideal for the hikes and swim. Hotel has it’s own pool and the beach is only a few minutes walk.
