Hotel Palme

The location was great, 5 minutes walk from the beach! We had a room with a nice view from the balcony. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Just metres from the public swim beach near the cliff top Statue, this Hotel is not on the waterfront but perfectly placed in a side street away from the madding crowds. You can stroll to all the cafes, bars and restaurants or just drink in the atmosphere of Monterosso. Just a couple of blocks to the Rail Station and the Old Town. Rooms were fine and there is a lift. Breakfast was very good with everything to suit all tastes. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English, particularly Emma and Alessia. They went over and above to make our stay very enjoyable. Thank you

This place is clean and has convenient proximity to the shore and many restaurants in Monterosso. But it is not a 4-star hotel, likely a 3-star. Maybe it was at some point using 1960-1970’s standards but not today. Beds were twin sized and adjoined by a fitted sheet, TV was smaller than a computer monitor and had no iron inside the room. The mini fridge was only big enough to hold 2 small water bottles. Breakfast was continental, with an option for toast or eggs as the only hot offerings. Bathroom was small, with only a shower. But, its saving grace was the stunning location near the beach and its friendly staff.

My wife and I were unfortunate to have a train strike on the day we should have returned to Pisa so we had to stay an extra day in Monterosso. Our hotel in the old town was fully booked so we had to find a one night stop and we were lucky enough to find this hotel in the other area. We needn't have worried because it was fine, nice room and breakfast and really friendly staff. Also close to station so ideal for a quick cross to Pisa airport the following morning. Reasonable price for facilities. No problem at all to recommend and we would stay here again if in this part of Monterosso Edward and Christina McAlpine

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Palme in April. The location was perfect - close enough to the train station and town and just one building off the beach. The balcony provided a nice spot to sit and enjoy the air although it didn’t have much of a view. The room was pretty basic but fit our needs. In room coffee and a hair dryer that actually provided some air would’ve made it perfect! If you need to dry your hair bring your own hair dryer. Oh and AC as it was pretty warm while we were there (my understanding is AC isn’t turned on until a certain date in Italy and it wasn’t on yet.) The bathroom was quite small and cramped but it worked just fine for us (I’m 5 foot 6 and had to sit sort of sideways on the toilet or my legs hit the shower!). Breakfast was great and had enough choices to make everyone in our group happy. Front desk staff was very helpful and could answer all of our questions. They were especially helpful about our hiking options. I will definitely stay here again on a future visit!
