Beautiful surroundings of Umbria and relaxing hotel. Restaurant very reasonable prices and chef very friendly. The menu catered for allergies extremely well and out my mind at rest. Food was delightful and staff friendly. Will be revisiting!

From the outside this agriturismo looks pretty nice. But, first of all, I don’t think we’ve ever felt less welcomed when checking in. Then into our room… cold, bare, unwelcoming, with bare walls and lacking any charm whatsoever. We have stayed in many agriturismi and other types of lodging in Italy over a 24 year period, and this is the first one we’ve ever found without a bidet. I decided I could (grudgingly) live without one. But then after showering, we found that the bathroom floor floods because of the way the shower is constructed. When we asked for more towels to mop up the water, they wanted to charge us €10, I think for each extra towel. We had never heard of anything like this! I know that sometimes a hotel will charge for damaged or soiled towels or linens, but we were only asking for towels to clean up the flooded bathroom due to a badly designed shower. Also our kitchen had a four burner stove, but not a single pot or pan to cook or reheat anything in! After a couple of day of days, most of the staff became friendlier, but the two women working there remained pretty sour and unfriendly. When they remodeled this place, it seems like they did it on the cheap, didn’t really pay attention to details that would’ve made it nicer and left some details unfinished, like unfinished trim. The room smelled like concrete and there were gouges in the wall that hadn’t been repaired. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the room seemed clean enough, the heating worked, and there was good Wi-Fi. However, we feel that the bad/funky far outweighs the good. This place is owned by the Garibaldi chain of hotels and it’s obvious that either the hotel chain management or the staff seem not to care very much. We left early (and lost one night’s fee), but we wanted to move on to somewhere more welcoming.

Perfect getaway! There’s no denying that the staff made this oasis in the countryside a perfect place to relax. Yes, we hired the electric bikes and explored the local sites, and wandered further by car, but places like Perugia, Gubbio, Assisi and Sienna were an easy day trip. The highlight for us was the level of catering. Great buffet breakfast, and delicious and beautifully presented evening meals in the restaurant. Making it all work were the attentive, friendly and helpful staff (with any question, even a query about our hire car!) So, a huge thanks to Santi (chef), Stephania (the pastry chef), and serving staff Sabrina and Graziano.

Beautiful borgo with spacious and comfortable “self catering” accomodation, nicely located in a quiet and charming part of Umbria with beautiful views. The parking right outside the cottage was perfect. The beds were great. The restaurant is good but if you’re there for a few days and wish to cook a meal or even boil and egg in your kitchen this is impossible. There are NO kitchen cooking implements, not a pot, not a pan, not a coffee pot, nothing with which to wash up, not even a plug for the kitchen sink. One has to bring the whole kitchen along. We had to buy an espresso Mokka pot just to be able to have coffee. Yet they have dining facilities, a fridge, some cutlery, no wine glasses. This was disappointing. The pool area is great, but you must wear a swimming cap which is written nowhere and on booking directly as I did, they don’t tell you this. On arrival they offer you one for €3. It’s most annoying when one has these already at home. Swimming towels can be borrowed with a deposit. The double volume, attic style cottages with bed upstairs are exceptionally hot upstairs, the air conditioning does not reach there. We had to bring a mattress down to the lower level and use the sleeper couch in order to sleep on subsequent nights. The staff are pleasant and helpful and make an effort to find solutions to problems. We were assisted with a late arrival restaurant booking but I also realize now that cooking in our own self catering cottage would have been impossible so they had to make a plan for us.

An enchanted village, where you can breathe an air of pure relaxation. The staff is helpful, but a note of particular merit goes to the chef of the structure. Incredibly kind and helpful even with children! Super natural breakfasts, all genuine and fresh!

We have just finished our stay and I must say we had a great time. A structure surrounded by greenery where tranquility reigns. The strong point of Borgo Pulciano are the people who manage it, starting from the reception with the very kind and professional Miss Lucia, always ready and attentive to the needs of the guests. Compliments. Then we move on to talk about the jewel in the crown: catering. Starting by thanking the dining room staff who are always very attentive, very punctual and very kind. Absolutely not a given these days. Thank you. I could give six stars on the kitchen. More than just a starred chef. Very friendly person who comes out of the kitchen to explain the various excellent dishes. We are delighted by the truffle. And then in the morning a spectacular breakfast with homemade cakes of a quality that cannot be found even in the best pastry shops. In short, if you want to be pampered in a beautiful place I recommend this property. Thanks again and see you next time. Francesco and Gabriella.

Location surrounded by greenery, with all the common areas in good order and clean. Mini apartment: clean, with a fairly well-equipped kitchen (a small welcome kit would be appreciated, as when you arrive you don't always have the bare minimum to be able to cook). Staff: Excellent! everyone is kind, courteous and smiling, ready to satisfy customer requests; Thank you. Breakfast: excellent! many good and well-made things (I suggest small signs near the cakes and jams, indicating the ingredients, to facilitate intolerant, or worse, allergic, in order to avoid unpleasant situations). Restaurant: excellent; excellent raw materials and generous portions; Allow me to suggest greater attention to the cooking times of the second courses.

Three of us went, me, my wife and my sister-in-law. Truly excellent experience and a further holiday should definitely be rescheduled. The village is an enchanted place, it seems that time has stopped and there is a magical atmosphere. In addition to the splendid location (the only regret was not having been able to use the swimming pools but on the other hand it is April) we particularly liked the friendly and, dare I say, familiar approach of the staff. Truly good professionals and attentive to all customer wishes. We would like to give particular recognition to the Chef, who is so good in the kitchen and so good at interpersonal relationships. What can I say? I can't find a negative note and I highly recommend using the facility

My husband and I spent four truly relaxing days here with excellent cuisine in a truly fabulous setting. Unfortunately my husband had a health problem and all the staff were supportive. A special thank you to chef Santi and his wife, Emanuela and Mimmo in the dining room and Lucia at the reception. See you in autumn and thanks again.
