This Hotel is a sort of superior Backpacker hostel with a very good restaurant. Half the rooms have a shared bathroom, half have own bathroom. Our (own bathroom) room was a bit shabby, not renovated. The outstanding feature is the location in small hamlet of chalets 1000m above Montreux with fabulous views onto lake Geneva from the extensive outside terrace. It was very quiet at night (in Autumn) The restaurant is excellent with a cosy chalet ambience and well attended though offers only a restricted menu (mainly fondues). The staff are all young and friendly. Access best by cogwheel train from Montreux which stops outside and a must do is to travel further up by train to Rochers-de Naye at 2000m with breathtaking panoramic views. Visitors are given a free travel card for duration of visit).

Felt like we were rolling back a century as we arrived on the little train with dramatic views to the lake. The hotel rooms are small and basic. The food and service are excellent, authentic and just right for this little perch. Great for one night, take the train to the top the next morning then stop back for lunch on the terrace and pickup your luggage before heading back down the mountain to Montreux.

The place and the restaurant are beautiful and good, but do not stay there to sleep! There is absolutely no soundproofing, between discussions in the rooms, bathroom and kitchens, it is not easy to sleep! The impression is more that of a dormitory of a holiday camp than of a hotel and the price is expensive for the service!

Locals and connoisseurs of the place, we were more than disappointed and we left the place without having been able to finish our dishes. Summary of the evening: 1. Wine chosen at 120 CHF per bottle placed on the heater 2. veal chop "signature dish, served cold and not cooked. 3. only good dish was the fried chicken (children's dish) 4. long wait to be served, although we arrived first. 5. veal cordon bleu - with a very strong rancid taste. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT - magnificent place - to drink a beer AND nothing more. the quality has dropped drastically - to all the locals ..... AVOID!

Hôtel très charmant, avec une vue magnifique sur le lac Léman et les montagnes autour, service impeccable et resto excellent 😋 Nous avons pris le repas du soir avec une fondue classique et une fondue au champagne et à la truffe 😋 puis en dessert une tarte à la framboise et un dessert à la pomme façon Cédric Grolet 😋 La vue sur le lac Léman et les montagnes autour était époustouflante, même quand il y avait du brouillard car nous étions dans les nuages bas. La literie est très bien et les équipements sont bien adaptés. Le service était impeccable avec un personnel agréable, convivial et humoristique également

excellent établissement, bel endroit, le personnel très sympathique. l'accès peut se faire en train à crémaillère au départ de Montreux très pratique pour également rejoindre "rochers de naye". belles balade. je recommande .. le personnel du petit train à crémaillère est à l'écoute des touristes.. bravo !!!
