Cilento Mooloolaba

We booked and confirmed our booking. 2 weeks later (today) we were called saying our booking had been cancelled and given a very pathetic reason. The real reason was the Mooloolabah triathlon had been cancelled and moved to the date we were staying. So they bumped our booking to get a more expensive rate from someone else. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Any traveller with a moral compass will avoid this place like the plague.

Apt. looked clean but was actually filthy. Got wine glasses out of cabinet and they looked like they had never been cleaned; with food particles and fingerprints on the glass. Door handles were disgusting to touch. We were disgusted by everything! You could not pay us to come back!!

We stayed here over the weekend and could not fault the service. Reception was so friendly, we had a smoke alarm issue and the concierge was super on top of it, amazingly helpful, honestly felt like a home away from home. Even the cleaning staff we bumped into were so kind and friendly. The room itself is a bit dated but impeccably clean and all the amenities worked well (great shower pressure). The location is also incredible, right behind a little access plaza to the main ***** of restaurants. Overall, the great service made this nice apartment complex sensational.

Check in time was 4pm, which is the latest we have come across during our travels. Check out time was strictly 10am, recommend management allow a grace period of 15 minutes before chasing down departing guests to vacate. We booked into 2 two bedroom apartments for our family group through Classic Holidays. Our rooms were 204 & 604. The apartments are very different; if you choose to stay here, ask for #604, a far superior apartment in terms of layout, fittings and kitchen and laundry amenities. Beds were reasonably comfortable, but some pillows smelt damp and musty, we notified Reception of this. There is one allocated secure car space per unit. During our stay, Reception was friendly and hospitable. Cleaning was superficial. The apartments appear overdue for a complete deep and thorough clean. There was dust collecting on the skirtings and in the corners. The bathrooms had black mould and grime in the shower. We did not use the in-room spa. Minimum toiletries provided, suggest bring your own. In the kitchen, some crockery was put away dirty. The oven tray racks had baked on grime and perhaps should just be replaced. Thankfully, the dishwasher and washing machine and dryer functioned. Location is perfect, close to an abundance of shopping, Coles supermarket, cafes and restaurants, the esplanade and beautiful Mooloolaba Beach. The outdoor pool water was clean, and well used. Bring own beach towel. Internet was free and reliable. The apartments had air-conditioning which worked. The building showed a lot of wear and tear. We would choose to stay elsewhere on our next visit to Mooloolaba.

A friend and I stayed at Cilento during the new year period and had an excellent experience. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed and more. It’s a short walk (2 minutes) to main ***** with restaurants, bars and beach access. Mark and the staff at the resort made our stay extra comfortable, they went above and beyond during our time there. Highly recommend
