Not bad, good location

We actually stayed here for 1 night twice in a week as we used it as our stopover as we travelled from up north to Florida and back. It was an excellent choice, good beds, clean rooms, good breakfast, helpful staff, good location. We like the Tru concept for short stays and like that they are newer hotels. Good beds, walkin showers, refrigerator, No microwave or coffee in room but those are available 24/7 downstairs. Even had a pool table in lobby. Would use this hotel again we arrived late so we didnt explore neighborhood or try nearby restaurants.

While the housekeeping staff did a good job keeping the room and hotel clean, my overall experience was bad. No employees wearing masks or plastic protection panels at the front desk. The location is noisy, right next to the interstate. At about 2 am, I was awakened by three loud people talking, smoking, drinking beer and laughing outside my second floor window, near the front entrance. I could see them clearly from my window, just several feet away. They went inside after about 20 minutes. Then again, at 3 am, they were back. After another 15 minutes I called the front desk. No answer. Called three times with no answer. Called a fourth time when the people finally went inside. The clerk admitted she was out with the party people and couldn't answer the phone. Got little sleep. At 7 am checkout I recognized the clerk as the woman that was outside and on the phone. I asked for a refund. She refused saying her manager could only do that. Just then the manager walked in. The clerk talked to her manager, lied, saying she couldn't get the people to be quiet. The manager first refused to issue a refund, but then quickly gave me a refund after I stated that I saw the clerk outside partying with the people and confirming to me on the phone that she was outside. The manager was embarrassed and apologetic and very professional. That night clerk should be let go as I pointed out to the manager that I could have been calling with some kind of emergency. All that being said, I will not be staying at this hotel again on my frequent trips through the area for business.

Clean and freshly remodeled facilities are refreshing. Proximity to i77 can’t be beat, as well as proximity to shopping and places to eat. Great location central to everything, some even walkable. New TVs enabled me to keep up with shows on streaming platforms and mirror my screen.

Nice hotel. Clean and quiet. About 20 minutes drive from the airport. About 10 minutes to the client. Breakfast is available with basic variety. There are some restaurants nearby. There is a gas station next to the hotel.

Dangerous entrance! When arriving from the interstate if you miss the hotel entrance (right turn - see pic) and turn around at the next street to make a left turn in YOU CAN’T (again, see pic). We almost got t-boned because we made the left attempt before we saw there’s a tall concrete barrier. Another caution, we booked and paid for our room on Expedia hours before we were to arrive. As we checked in the desk clerk told us Expedia’s payment card wasn’t working. It took 20 minutes and us placing a call to Expedia to get checked in. The other desk clerk told us that it’s better to book directly and not use 3rd party services like Expedia. This was the first time we’ve ever had this happen. Usually we walk up, give our name and the clerk hands us our room key. Overall, this hotel is okay for a good nights sleep after being on the road. It has a full kitchen including a full-size refrigerator and dishwasher as well as flatware, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls and they even supply dish soap!

Everything about our stay was top notch. We were one of five wedding parties they were hosting over the weekend so the hotel was packed and each and every hotel associate could not have been any nicer. Our room was spacious and spotless. I travel often and do many TripAdvisor reviews and this hotel ranks near the top in personal satisfaction. We were in town for the weekend but I would absolutely stay here again in the future.
