Unfortunately underwhelming...
We booked a room with 2 double beds (alternatively 2 single bed) for a higher price because that's what we wanted - when we checked in, we were given a room with 1 double bed. Unfortunately the bed couldn't be spitted and no other room was available (which we highly doubted, as we were one of the early one's checking in that day).
We received a very soft co-sleeper bed...
The first night, we went to bed quite early as we were exhausted from the day. Suddenly, there was banging on the door - up to 10 times - before I was awake enough to open the door to 2 service guys from the hotel, giving me some cut fruits and 4 pralines - at 10:30pm!? I was totally confused by the time and behaviour...
Also the personnel wasn't of great help when asked regarding directions, post office, or else...
We just didn't like the experience we had in this hotel.

A great restaurant with a great location. Wide range of buffet. Clean, cozy, quiet, all rooms with ocean views, polite staff + lots of different animals running around the area. Wonderful place!!!

The room is not soundproof, you can hear the fart next door. In addition, there are singers singing in the lobby every night. The sound is so loud and noisy until after 11 o'clock. They don't stop and you can't rest at all.
When cleaning the room, either bath towels or toothbrushes are not given. I think it is intentional, hoping that the guests will call someone to deliver them so that they can collect tips. This is also a common problem in Lanka hotels.
The hotel is a bit old, but there are no tissues or slippers in the room. What's going on?

Great experience for us. Great value for your money. The view was fantastic. You can sleep while listening to the waves. We will certainly come back. We had the breakfast at the morning and it was very tasteful. The rooms were very clean and very spacious.

I spent two truly memorable nights at your beautiful hotel in Bentota, and it was an experience I will always cherish. We were very satisfied with the services of this hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful, especially Mr. Dinesh de Silva, who was very willing. We thank him very much. The rooms were always tidy and clean. The food was good and varied. There was a good choice of different dishes. The beach was very close and there was good access to the sea.

Cordial and informative reception staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Our leaking air con was repaired instantly. The beach, pool and stunning sunset were amazing. The food was deliciously and authentic Srilanjan. We would strongly recommend a minimum two day stay.
