Hotel Morgan

This hotel is beautiful! Love there retro styling of the rooms. Bed was extremely comfortable. Best 2 nights of sleep I've had in all my WV travels. Water pressure was a dream! Hotel is old and has no duct work, so the room a/c was a newer window-type unit, but it worked well and provided white noise. Hotel is located in a downtown area, so it's a little rough around the edges. But I am from an urban area, so that was fine for me. Lots of restaurants and waterfront area within short walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay from every aspect (cleanliness, quiet, decor, food, staff)! Would not hesitate staying here again!!!

The room was ok. But something that chaps my a$$ is the $20/night for valet parking. Then, you go to request your car and the link suggests $7 for a tip, plus a service fee. Wow. Then $7 for a bottle FOR WATER that is left in your room. Really?!? I went to CVS and got the same bottle of water for $1.89. Everyone seemed less than pleased that I was a guest at the hotel. No bell hop, no luggage cart to get my stuff up to my room. The valet went up to find me a cart. I wheeled in my things in the middle of a wedding party. Saturday morning I had to go to the desk and let them know there was no coffee, a young man took the coffee dispenser and came back a bit later with coffee. I went to the bar in the hotel, got a glass of the house red and ordered a flatbread pizza. It came out quite a while later over cooked and dry. Cut into slices - not like a flatbread is presented. I had to wait to be checked out - there was no one at the desk. She was helping someone else up on a floor somewhere.

Hotel Morgan is a treat in the midst of downtown Morgantown. Valet parking is super convenient and much appreciated. Rooms are generous size snd very well appointed.

We loved our stay here! My cousin and I shared a room with 2 queens while in town for a family wedding. The layout was nice that the beds aren't right next to each other - made us feel like we had our own areas. The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The shower pressure was excellent and the beds super comfortable. Room had a decent sized fridge. Lobby is beautiful with lots of character. Staff were friendly, valet was convenient and always available when we needed. Only con was no safe in the room. We were nervous reading some previous reviews but can highly recommend!

Great place to have a small meeting. Rooms redone with pieces to match the history of the hotel. Meeting room was perfect for us.
