Throughout the whole process José and Tanya were friendly and helpful. They helped arrange transport to the island and Alvino to help with our luggage to the accommodation even accommodating our ever changing plans. When we arrived we were greeted by a cool glass of water and then a caipirinha! The hotel is up a lot of stairs and you need to have some level of fitness. However, it was absolutely worth it. The views of the island were stunning. I absolutely loved being 10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but still having my oasis of calm. The rooms were clean and comfortable and each had a hammock to enjoy. The whole place felt super safe. Breakfast each morning was shared with local wildlife - we watched the hummingbirds and marmosets. Each morning there was fresh fruit, a juice, and coffee and eggs. Then a sweet and savory delights that changed each day. They staff were always friendly and helped cater to dietary requirements. Whilst there José helped arrange a boat tour and a place to watch the sunset. They advised on places to walk and places to eat.

This is a fabulous place. Nestled high on a hill (so a bit of a climb but worth it!), surrounded by nature. It's so peaceful with a beautiful pool and views across the sea. Breakfasts were awesome! Also the owner is super helpful over all queries. Our twin room was comfortable and very clean with a good shower room. Highly recommended

We celebrated our wedding in Morro in November 2023 and chose the Posada Colibri as accommodation for our guests who had travelled there, as we also spend our holiday there every year. It couldn't have been more perfect. Every special request (whether transfer to the island, special meals, bartender, massages and beauty program, childcare, island tour) was fulfilled and once again you could tell that Tania and Pepe simply enjoy hosting and supporting wherever they can. Everyone felt so comfortable and welcomed!! We can now more than recommend the pousada not only as a holiday destination but also as wedding accommodation. The emotional support was also available at all times during such an exciting time :) We will be back, no question! A huge thank you to you and your team!!! Wir haben im November 2023 unsere Hochzeit auf Morro gefeiert und die Posada Colibri als Unterkunft für unsere angereisten Gäste gewählt, da wir auch sonst jährlich dort Urlaub machen. Es hätte perfekter nicht sein können. Jeder Spezialwunsch (ob Transfer auf die Insel, Essensbesonderheiten, Barkeeper, Massagen und Beautyprogramm, Kinderbetreuung, Inselrundfahrt) wurde erfüllt und man hat mal wieder gemerkt, dass Tania und Pepe einfach Freude daran haben gastzugeben und zu unterstützen, wo sie können. Alle haben sich super wohl gefühlt. Wir können die Pousada nun nicht nur als Urlaubsziel sondern auch als Hochzeitsunterkunft mehr als empfehlen. Auch der emotionale Support war jeder Zeit vorhanden in so einer aufregenden Zeit:) Wir kommen wieder, keine Frage! Ein riesiges Dankeschön an euch und euer Team!!!

I stayed at this pousada for 3 days with friends and was very impressed. Beautiful location above Morro de São Paulo with great views, extremely friendly staff, very nice and well maintained rooms. And most importantly: fantastic breakfast! Every day, they would serve us different options for breakfast, super food quality, all served with love. The pousada is located a bit off-the-beaten-track, far above, and requires climbing some 150 stair steps. Still: excellent location, in a few minutes, you are at the main square (but don't have all the noise). So excellent also for ecotourism. Overall highly recommended, I would definitely go there again.

Pousada Colibri is a top quality family run business located only 5 mins walk away from the center of the island. Quietly tucked away on a hill top with a lush view on the sea and surrounded by stunning gardens! Upon our arrival, we were welcomed to the accommodation by a friendly Pepe who told us everything we needed to know about how to navigate the island, and made us very welcomed all throughout our stay. Top customer service! Furthermore, the accommodation was spacious and comfortable, and the stuff were helpful, providing us with everything we needed. The breakfast was exceptionally delicious and full of choices. Overall, Pousada Colibri would be a perfect getaway for couples and families looking for a tranquil and relaxing time on the island with direct connections to the buzzy night life.

Was soll ich schreiben, was ich nicht schon des öfteren hier geschrieben habe. Das letzte Mal waren wir, meine Frau Monika und ich im November 2016 in der Pousada Colibri. Alles was ich damals schrieb könnte ich auch heute genauso schreiben, eins hat sich aber geändert. Marga und Helmut die Gründer dieser wunderbaren Oase der Entspannung haben die Pousada ihrer Tochter Tania und Ehemann Pepe übergeben. Das war für uns selbstverständlich eine Überraschung, haben wir bis dahin Colibri nur im Zusammenhang mit Marga und Helmut gedacht. Aber keine Angst Tania führt die Pousada mit sicherer Hand im Sinne ihrer Eltern und so konnten wir unsere 14 Tage wie immer geniessen. Diesmal hatten wir uns im Chalet einquartiert was eine sehr gute Entscheidung war. Wir waren immer sehr zufrieden mit der Unterbringung im Bungalow, wir bevorzugten Nummero 4 , aber wir waren auch noch nie 14 Tage am Stück dort. Wie immer hat uns die Lage, die Ruhe und Gepflegtheit der Anlage sehr gut gefallen. Tania ist eine gute Gastgeberin, nebenbei gesagt macht sie, aber auch ihr Mann Pepe sehr gute Caipis. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen ein Erlebnis, aber das war ja schon immer so, da hat sich nichts geändert. Leider auch nicht die vielen Stufen hinauf um ins Paradies zu kommen. Sie waren für mich, 75 Jahre und meine Frau, 68 Jahre noch zu schaffen, wenn gleich anstrengend. Die Pousada Colibri kann von uns nur aus tiefster Überzeugung als sehr gut und empfehlenswert bewertet werden. Wir waren gerne dort unf haben die große Gastfreundschaft von Tania und Pepe genossen. Wer Erhalung sucht und Entspannung ist hier bestens aufgehoben, möglichst für mehr als 3-4 Tage. Vielen Dank ihr beiden und vielen, vielen Dank für alles. macht weiter so, wir wünschen euch alles Gute und eine glückliche Hand das die Pousada Colibri noch lange Bestand hat.

Desde o primeiro contato a equipe foi gentil e atenciosa. A dona Tânia me recepcionou na chegada com absolutamente todas as informações, dicas e suporte que eu precisava. O quarto é uma delicia , extramente limpo e com rede ! Café da manhã bem servido com frutas da estação, suco, frios , tapioca ... Atenção: Para chegar tem uma escadaria. Não é forma de falar . Mas o nome já diz "morro " de São Paulo! É cansativa mas vale a pena , o lugar é um sossego diferente de outros locais no centro

Diese Pousada ist ein Traum. Ca. 500 m von der Ortsmitte auf einem Hügel mit wunderbarer Aussicht gelegen, ist dieser von einer deutschstämmigen Familie mit vielen Pflanzen liebevoll angelegte und gepflegte Ort ein Paradies auf Erden. Komfortabel eingerichtete Bungalows und Suiten mit schönen Blicken und ausreichend Privatsphäre, ein sich in die Landschaft einfügender Pool, ein rustikal-gemütlicher Frühstücksraum mit gutem Frühstück, serviert von freundlicher Bedienung. Was will man "Meer"? Ach ja, zum menschenleeren Strand unterhalb sind es nur 5 Minuten, in den belebten, autofreien Ort mit buntem, afrikanisch geprägten Leben nur wenig länger. Es gibt am Ort viele gute Restaurants, wo man am Strand sitzen kann und abends - wenn man es mag - gibt es viel Musik und gute Unterhaltung. Auf dem Hügel bekommt man davon praktisch nichts mehr mit und kann in Ruhe schlafen. Von Salvador aus erreicht man die Insel in 2,5 Stunden mit einem Katamaran. Wir haben sogar Wale gesehen....
