A beautiful lodge to stay in. The views are spectacular and the staff are excellent and so friendly. The food was truly delicious everyday. It’s off the beaten track, so a real once in a lifetime experience to discover this place- now we’ll be coming back ! A treasure! Highly recommend.

Travessia Beach Lodge is one of the most fascinating places I have been so far. The location is simply stunning, with the endless beach where you can walk for hours without meeting a soul. The bungalows are comfy and romantic, with open-air showers, verandas overlooking the sea, and canopy beds. The food is simple and delicious, inspired by what is available at the local markets and from the local fishermen. There is a pool with a beach bar and the only dune-to-dune swing bridge in Africa! We enjoyed the most beautiful sunrises ever and a romantic dinner in the palm groove, only the two of us. We felt connected with the beauty of Nature and loved every moment spent there.

Paradise found! Extraordinary, remote, pristine, expansive beaches surrounded by vast coconut palm forests as far as the eye can see. I visited this hidden jewel of an eco-lodge for a week and didn't want to leave. I'm an American who has traveled internationally extensively for decades, and I've never experienced anything like this gem. I walked daily for miles and saw only the occasional fishermen. So peaceful, quiet and remote. Barefoot luxury, indeed. Simple, comfortable, luxurious in its understated way. Staff are courteous, friendly and attentive. Fresh seafood and copious coconuts and fresh, tropical fruit. I can't recommend Travessia highly enough. I've committed to return for a minimum of two weeks next year. Heaven on Earth.

We spent 1 week at Travessia Beach Lodge around the New Year. It is an amazing location in the middle of a palm grove, with a beach all to yourself. If you enjoy solitude and tranquility, this is the place for you. If you like hustle and bustle, you'd better go to Zanzibar. The lodge is not large, so it always has a family feel to it. This is added to by the lodge manager Ben and Adel, who live for their guests and make you feel at home. Part of the experience is great food, especially fresh seafood from local fishermen. We hope to return soon, perhaps for a whale migration...

Es ist hier einfach unglaublich schön, man kann es kaum mit Worten beschreiben. Der Palmenhain, der Blick auf Meer, die wunderschönen Hütten, man hat das Gefühl in eine Phantsiewelt einzutauchen. Der ewig lange, breite und unberührte Strand ist übrigens der Wahnsinn. Die Betten haben unglaublich tolle Matratzen, wir haben in der ersten Nacht gleich 12 Stunden durchgeschlafen; und das kommt so gut wie nie vor. Morgens steht dann beim Aufwachen schon der Kaffee in einer Thermoskanne bereit, sodass man gechillt au für eigenen Terrasse in den Tag starten kann. Das Personal ist fast ausschließlich vom nahen Dorf und jeder einzelne ist unglaublich nett und aufmerksam. Wir wurden rundum verwöhnt. Ganz toll ist hier das Essen, angefangen bei Frühstück mit irre leckerem Fruchtsalat und alles was man sich im Urlaub wünschen kann. Das Highlight ist jedoch das Abendessen, es gab an den 4 Abenden jeweils verschiedene Fische oder Meeresfrüchte, alles sehr reichlich und lecker! Der liebe Haushund Essie hat uns bei sämtlichen Spaziergängen am Strand oder durchs Gelände begleitet und unser Herz erobert. Gerne würden wir 6 Sterne für das Travessia vergeben, wenn das möglich wäre. Vielen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team

Wir haben vier Nächte dort verbracht und es war der Wahnsinn. Von Sekunde Eins an haben wir uns wohl gefühlt und super entspannt. Jeder hat seinen eigenen schönen Bungalow mit Meerblick und drumherum wunderschöne Natur und keine weiteren Hotels. Es ist schön abgelegen, aber trotzdem hat man alles, was man braucht. Man kann auch zusätzliche Aktivitäten dazubuchen wie beispielsweise Schnorcheltouren, Kayak, Massage, Village Tour etc. Jeden Morgen wird vor dem Frühstück Kaffee oder Tee zum Zimmer geliefert, was ich eine super schöne Idee finde und noch nirgends so erlebt habe. Auch das Essen war super lecker und reichlich. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.
