This is a quintessential Japanese experience. The location just outside Mashiko is great for exploring the potteries, the museums and the countryside. We hired bikes from the hotel and had a lovely time. The rooms don’t have a shower so if you are not up for the public bath experience this may not be the place for you. All a bit old fashioned but lovely. Dinner at the hotel highly recommended.

It was spacious and clean. It was nice that there was a service at the front desk where you could drink coffee made from beans at any time. There are no convenience stores nearby, so be careful. There is no convenience store in front of Kasama Station, so the town itself is a little inconvenient for getting around and shopping. The people in town are friendly and kind.

Although the location is a bit remote and not easy to call a car, there are convenient buses nearby to take it. The hotel environment is very clean and tidy. The service staff is still enthusiastic about the service even if the language is not available. It is a very recommended hotel.
