Very nice view from the terasse and pool to the wineyard and green hills. They serve excellent steaks and have all their wines by the glass for tasting. We had a room with a large bunk bed which was very stylish and comfortable.

We spent two nights at Roxanich and loved the hotel. We had room 1A which has a balcony overlooking the vineyard. The room is huge with a comfortable bed and outstanding views. The clear glass door on the bathroom is the only negative. Breakfast was good but nothing outstanding. We chose not to eat at the restaurant because of the mixed reviews and walked to Motovun instead.

This the nicest place to stay in Motovun. This is a very modern hotel. Our room was very comfortable, and had some really wild wallpaper. They have a terrific breakfast and great service. They offer underground parking, but you have to take an odd elevator ride to get in and out of the garage.

When you visit the area you need to decide to be on TOP of Motovun or in the shadows. Roxanich is in the shadows but that does not mean it is in the dark. Just a shadow. Nothing else to do per se on this street other than go up. A combination winery and 4 star hotel that is "down the mountain" but a retreat if you don't want to be in the center of the ancient town with all the tourists. And easy walk to a bus up to the town ( one heck of a walk) Roxanich sits on a cliff with a beautiful scene of vineyards in a valley. Seemingly short on staff ( mostly in dining area at lunch and dinner) but like most Istrians very friendly. Food is solid with an emphasis on their wines. Get them to explain as they play on words ( Bordo=Merlot) and they have 21 labels to decipher. Room with balcony was large and well appointed. Just a bit dated with notably older carpet and drapes. But clean and large. But who puts a clear glass door on a bathroom entry? A bit awkward for two people. Frosted glass would have same effect of letting light in but provide privacy. Parking is ample with an elevator system in a garage. Pretty cool actually. Decent pool with a view and spa although we did not use as we were on the go. Challenge again goes to staffing which is not present per se at the pool. A decent option if you want to lounge and sip wines, but if you want more activity look on top of the mountain for options.

Very nice hotel and winery , it is fascinanting to see all their production , storage and Wine cellars but the Wine is not my kind of taste
