Very noisy, on the side of the road, large trucks keep coming at night. Note that there are no separate toilets, only public toilets and bathrooms. It's an RV park, not a hotel.

Turned up having made a booking in the wrong year - staff didn't bat an eyelid and gave us a pitch right on the lakefront - absolutely stunning views. Kitchen well equipped, toilets clean and showers great. Wonderful place to stay - only thing to watch is traffic noise as literally on the main road - and do not feed the swans!!

This is a great location for the lakeside views but if you want a good night’s sleep then this is not the campsite for you. The SH1 is right beside the site and goes all night. Many pitches are on a slope and the terrain is rough. I can now see why the reception desk were selling ear plugs!!

Lovely camp to chill out and relax - enjoy the weather and the lovely refreshing water of the lake. Friendly neighbours - a great place to stay. If a light sleeper use earplugs as near main highway. This is a motorcamp beside busy road - quieter on other side-camp split by road.

We stayed in a tent right on the lakefront. We had the most glorious views. We had loads of fun on the water wakeboarding & sea biscuiting. The weather was superb. We could not have asked for a better location. The campground is clean, tidy & family friendly. The staff are very friendly & helpful too. We loved staying at Motutere Bay Top 10 & hope to make this an annual trip. It was brilliant! (The noisy trucks did wake us in the night, but it's a highway, so we just accepted that).
