the location of this hotel is by far its best feature as the mass transit, railway and a central bus station is located close by (5 minute walk at most). rao he night market is also a 3 minute stroll down the street so that makes supper runs that much more convenient for hotel guests.
however, we experienced a case of overbooking for our room when we arrived at the hotel at about 5:30pm only to be informed that the room would not be ready for another 1.5 hours as the guests before us had extended their stay. we ended up checking in at 7pm after room service was done, causing us to disrupt our reservation booking which we could no longer meet. the resolution offered was a 1 hour extension to our check out time which we did not need as it did not fit our itinerary and although the team was apologetic there was little done to appease and they offered no other forms of compensation or resolutions.
it was honestly a very frustrating situation as we had travelled interstate expecting to freshen up to rush off to a reservation we had only to be stuck at the lobby for another hour. based on a few other reviews, it is evident that overbooking is quite common at this hotel which begs the question of why hadn’t there been any intervention to mitigate this yet?
that aside the room we booked (river view) offered a comfortable stay for a couple with 2 luggages. amenities were well maintained and it was a comfortable stay for guests who were out and about most of the time.
footnote - i must say i’ve experienced much more hospitable service from other boutique hotels in taiwan than i did here which seems to be commonly brought up as well. service meets my minimum standards but often times international travellers may need some/more assistance from concierge which this place is hesitant to offer.

A very comfortable and convenient hotel. The staff is very friendly. I think it's a gem among hotels. It has a great atmosphere, a large lobby, and space to chat with people. We felt like we were back 50 years ago, but in a positive way. The breakfast was very good, and the short walk to a nearby restaurant wasn't a problem. I recommend it. If I'm ever in Taipei again, I'll definitely be back.

The facilities in the room were quite dated. A major issue was the lack of a power outlet in the bathroom, which left me unable to straighten my hair while looking in the mirror. Furthermore, there were no power outlets near the bedside tables either, so I had to rely on a power bank to charge my phone overnight, which was very inconvenient. Otherwise, everything else was quite good. I'd recommend staying on a weekday, as the prices are significantly cheaper than on weekends.

Really impressed with this hotel for the price! The room was cozy and well-maintained, with a comfortable bed and nice bathroom amenities. The staff were attentive and quick to resolve a minor issue with the air conditioning. The only downside was that the parking area was a bit cramped. The hotel is in the perfect location right outside the metro station. From the airport it’s an express MRT to Taipei station followed by the metro which is 4 stops. The hotel has all the amenities you need for a stay in Taipei. We commonly used the bus and metro which were very convenient as the stops were right outside. The hotel is in a building which has a nightclub and we were warned prior about the noise and vibrations, but we didn’t experience any of this during our stay which was fortunate! I would highly recommend this hotel to all.

Hotel is well situated in the heart of Taipei Xinyi area. Just 5mins walk to Taipei 101 via an overhead bridge. The deluxe room while not the biggest I have experience, but still pretty big and comfy. Hotel service is excellent. Even got a surprise birthday cake from them when I was there. Only issue i had was the TV does not really allow me to do mirroring nor it support chromecast. So kind of stuck with the channels that the hotel provided for night in room entertainment. An area which I find could be improved would be the hotel breakfast offering, as there is a lack of variety from day to day. Other than that the overall experience has been great. Will definitely come back again in future.

The hotel room is very comfortable, clean, and spacious, booked at a discounted price from Trip.com. Level one concierge Nico was very friendly and helpful when I went downstairs to collect my midnight supper delivery. Special thanks to housekeeper Ricky. Hotel is in the best location, nice view of Taipei 101 at level 7 swimming pool area. Metro is just across the road past some shops. There are street performers on the walkway behind the hotel in the evening from 6 to 10pm.

Counter staff has no smile and is not very helpful, other staff is friendly but in general very hard sell. Breakfast is just so so. I saw comments saying dinner is a must try item. The hotel's location is genuinely convenient (though, for summer outings, you might want to opt for a taxi!). It's just a stone's throw from the Airport MRT, making arrivals and departures a breeze. For exploring the city, both Beimen Station and Taipei Main Station are within easy walking distance.
The area boasts a fantastic array of food. A short stroll (about 10 minutes) towards Kaifeng Street and Zhongxiao West Road reveals a wealth of authentic local eateries, while Ximending – a tourist hotspot – is equally accessible.
The hotel is impeccably clean, and the smart facilities are a definite plus. Controlling the room's lights, curtains, and TV via a single iPad is incredibly convenient. I loved waking up each morning to open the curtains and enjoy the superb view. The large bed was exceptionally comfortable – I could barely tear myself away from it each morning! (And a special mention for the unique rainbow lights in the bathroom – definitely something to experience firsthand!)
The front desk staff were consistently friendly and polite, always ready to assist with any queries. The cleaning team was equally wonderful, proactively offering daily room cleaning and water replenishment, ensuring cleanliness was never a concern.

The room has all the basic amenities including slippers but the space is really small even for 1 person. AAnonymous UserWe stayed at City Suites Main Station Taipei and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is a bit of a walk from Taipei Main Station MRT (Exit Y21 to Y1), so we recommend taking Beimen MRT instead — it’s much nearer if you walk underground from Exit Y21 to Y28.
Our first room had an aircon leaking issue, but the staff were very responsive. After we contacted them through Trip.com, they quickly arranged a room change with no fuss.
The room itself was clean, modern, and comfortable. There are also 7-Eleven and FamilyMart convenience stores just around the corner, which made things even more convenient.
A solid choice for a short stay in Taipei!

The hotel is refurbished, 7 min walk from/to the train station (brown line and green line) 2 train stops from the airport,TSA, Taipei Songshan Airport, mostly domestic flights.
Staff are very welcome and friendly 👍

Close by airport rail at Taipei Main Station ( 5 mins walk) , several convenient store nearby theh hostel and you are Muslims travelling looking for halal food, fret not as there's two halal chinese restaurant right below the hostel. The common area is fully air conditioned and the amenities are complete (washing machine / dryer/ water machine so you can get hot / cold water)
Will be coming to stay here again next time I'm in Taipei 🫡🫡🫡

GGuest UserPerhaps one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The location is incredibly convenient, just a 10-15 minute walk from Ximending station, making it easy to explore the area. The room was spacious and well-appointed, complete with complimentary bottled water. I appreciated that the housekeeping staff cleaned the room daily, provided you didn’t activate the ‘do not disturb’ button.
The hotel features a unique underwater or submarine theme, which adds a fun and immersive atmosphere. I booked a room without windows, and while the lighting was somewhat dim, it created a cozy ambiance that I found quite pleasant.
The receptionists were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests. A thoughtful addition to the hotel is the luggage scale available for guests, allowing you to weigh your bags before checking out—definitely a great touch!
We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which I would rate a perfect 10/10! There was an impressive variety of food options, including a delightful hotpot selection.
The bathroom facilities were well-designed, with the toilet and shower room separated for added convenience. They provided complimentary body wash and shampoo, and I was pleased to see that the bed sheets were changed daily, ensuring a fresh and clean environment throughout my stay.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent location, friendly service, and thoughtful amenities!

GGuest UserFantastic location just opposite taipei main station, super easy to get anywhere in the city and beyond. We were upgraded to a much bigger room which was spacious and comfortable. Good size bathroom with nice shower. Kettle in the room and hot and cold drinking water available 247 in a shared kitchen. Clothes washing and drying facilities too.
Very thin walls and we had quite noisy neighbours so we could hear a lot from them, but nothing ear plugs couldn't fix. Cleanliness could have been slightly better but generally fine.
