We had a truly superb dinner there following a recommendation from the Walnut tree hotel ( their kitchen was temporarily closed). I had melt in the mouth lamb shank and my husband had the pork belly. Pure divine food. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and service. Can see why it was busy for a Tuesday night. Thanks for a lovely evening, Yvonne O’Sullivan from Ireland

Easy to book a room over the phone ensuring I got the type of room I needed. Efficient booking in on arrival, shown to room and keys etc explained. The room was excellent, with shower in en-suite as requested. I stayed for 2 nights and the room was cleaned each day. Plenty of tea and coffee and packs of biscuits.

Weekend of 27 July 2024 we had a family wedding taking place nearby. Our family and friends totalling 13, booked accommodation for one night, six rooms, and then breakfast in the morning. The rooms were very adequate with a good ensuite bathroom and very clean. Extremely comfortable beds. In addition there were tea/coffee facilities with biscuits. The breakfast choice was very good, although not a cooked breakfast (which we were aware of beforehand). Excellent choice of fruit, yoghurts, cereal, toast, croissants and tea, coffee and fruit juice. Friendly, pleasant staff. A really good stay for us all. Thank You.

Came in for Sunday lunch with family. Everyone apart from me had a roast and said how tasty it was. I went for something else quiche of the day and that was very tasty. Food and drinks very well priced. Great afternoon spent with family. We will be back.

We booked this accommodation as a halfway stop on our journey to St Agnes from Kent. Check in was quick and efficient, the food and service in the evening and breakfast in the morning, although not offering a full English, was good. Our big disappointment was our room, (room 1) which had the smallest double bed we have ever encountered on our travels, also the mattress was very soft, so an uncomfortable night was the result. So cannot recommend.

We had the roast, it was delicious, a choice of beef, pork or turkey with cheesy leekes, pigs in blankets were extra , 8 for £3.50, these had been cut into thumb sized portions. My only beef apart from the one I was eating was its some what cramped.
