My wife and I have been staying at the Stafler several times since February 2022, 3 times in the gourmet restaurant and the rest of the time in the guest room and 10 nights in total in the hotel. I don't even want to talk about sales because we were the only ones who really spent money anyway. We also gave the hotel and restaurant a special rating once, but after all our experiences we had to delete them from spring onwards because otherwise a wrong impression could arise. We will not be coming again. Here are a few points that really bothered us and we think that we have presented them objectively several times. Unfortunately, no improvements have been made other than flippant replies and great astonishment from the owners (Angelika and Irene) and those responsible in the kitchen (Peter Girtler). 1. Rooms Except for room 301, all the beds we have stayed in squeak and the frames creak. Irene gave me the best answer to the question of whether the bed in room 304 had been made? Yes, she said, but I haven't tested the beds, that's a particularly clever answer!! If it's not you or someone you know who decides, then you can make sure everything is OK again! PS: during our last forced stay at the end of September, it was as if nobody had taken care of it. I slept in the children's room for a second time because only one person could sleep peacefully in such a creaky bed (but we paid full price). Apart from the fact that the rooms are extremely old, they should still be checked carefully. On this visit, when I was feeling so bad, the ceiling in the toilet was covered in cobwebs, and we had already mentioned this and more several times 2 years previously. Unless that can't be, nothing has happened. All the rooms are so old that it's urgently time to finally renovate them. But we think (but don't know) that the money is being invested more on the other side of the street. Apart from that, the garden has finally been spruced up. Unfortunately, there was no garden designer with his oversized stage that is supposed to be used for yoga (mainly by locals). But a hotel like that, even one of the romantic group, is really unfortunate. We would also like to mention that no one ever voluntarily helped with our luggage. As we always lived on the 3rd floor and the elevator only goes up to the 2nd floor, it is really difficult, especially because everyone knows that my wife has a bad knee and I have a bad one in my back. You get the feeling that when you open the door on arrival, everyone is busy and although everyone in the hotel notices when we arrive (always a lot of luggage), nobody really cares. That is very sad and we have never seen it like that in a hotel! 2. Food In our opinion, Peter Girtler in particular does far too little for a 2-star chef. With a few (almost no) exceptions, the menu is always the same and the food is terrible.
