A large group of friends booked in here for dinner & B&B while attending an Abba Forever show at The Mullingar Arts Centre. The hotel was ideal , apartments were perfect , location was ideal , staff were excellent & food was really tasty & great value. We had great fun with Pat in the restaurant & everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Thankyou to all your staff.

I really don't know how this hotel is rated 4 stars,no leisure centre or pool, stained carpet and badly creaking bed in our room from which we were upgraded to a suite , apparently their second best room in the hotel ,and while better had a radiator on hot that couldn't be adjusted except from a maintenance man correcting it from a boiler house ,it also had cracks in the plasterboard on the bathroom wall and floor tiles, the basin taps were too small for the basin making it awkward to wash your hands .some of the hotel looked nice but some of it looked dated and in need of redecorating, the food was lovely and service was excellent but complimentary toiletries provided were basic at best for a four star hotel.

We stayed in the Annebrook Apartments to celebrate my sister's hen weekend. There were 26 of us booked into the apartments and most of us stayed for 2 nights. We also had our evening meal on the Saturday night. Our experience with all staff working in the Annebrook Hotel was excellent. The manager Clancy was a pleasure to deal with on the phone. The team at reception were always so approachable and dealt with our queries so professionally. The bar staff and night porter were friendly. The best experience we had was dealing with Pat Byrne the Restaurant Manager on duty that weekend. He made it his business to speak with me as the party organiser on Saturday morning to discuss the evening meal and show me the beautifully laid out room which was reserved for us. He was clear about every detail which left me feeling assured that all would be taken care of and he had a great sense of humour. He was true to his word and everything ran like clockwork. It was evident at breakfast on both mornings that Pat is an excellent manager as there were no delays in service and he was visible each morning to address any issues. The food was tasty and well presented. The apartments were clean, spacious, warm and quiet. The view from the apartments was lovely with swans visible from each balcony. Most pubs and restaurants were within easy walking distance of the hotel. I would definitely stay there again if in Mullingar. Thank you for making my sister's hen weekend so nice.

We stopped off here for a night en route to Dublin and enjoyed a very nice apartment stay. Centrally located in Mullingar with good service at the hotel and an exceptional breakfast the next morning. Overall this was great value for money. I would have given it full marks but for the fact that the lift didn’t work when we were there so it was a bit difficult lugging suitcases up and down the stairs. Check with them first that his been fixed and you’ll have a top time. Great view from the apartment over the lake with swans.

Really comfortable apartments. Full kitchen facilities including dishwasher and washing machine. Very clean. And the staff were very friendly. Didn’t dine there so can’t comment on food.

We stayed in the Annesbrook Hotel for my 60th and my better half wanted to return for her birthday as we had such a good stay. This time they had a wedding on in the hotel and it did spoil the experience due to excessive noise levels from the music, where we would return I would want confirmation that there was no wedding on that evening. The review: Check in was excellent and like other reviewers our room was available early, the receptionist did tell us during check-in that they had a wedding that day (no mention during booking or during the on-line check -in process) so it would have been to late to cancel and defer. She mentioned it might be a little noisy, when I asked her how noisy she replied only in certain areas as people moved about but if we had any issues to come back to her. No mention of loud music at all. We booked the dinner package in the restaurant and the food was fab, Pat the food manager looked after us real well. My only disappointment was I requested during our reservation, again during the on-line check-in and a third time to the receptionist (she said would let the restaurant manager know) that we were back to celebrate her birthday and to ask if they could place a candle on her dessert to mark the occasion, this never happened, it hurt more when the couple at the adjoining table had a candle placed on theirs and staff sand happy birthday, a minor thing I know, but why ask if you have any requests if they are not going to fulfill them after requesting 3 times. Breakfast was really nice and fresh. We enjoyed the band in the bar though they were being drown out at times by the music in the function room above. My main issue was we when we returned to our room around midnight which was on the top floor, 2 floors above the wedding, the noise was desperate. I wanted to go to reception to see what they could do but she was tired and did not want to have to start to pack up our things to leave it. The music persisted until 215am and it was impossible to sleep, I measured the noise in our room at 82 dba (I am a Health and Safety Expert and have a decibel meter on my phone) the noise fluctuated between 78-82 dba constantly. At 85 dba employers must make hearing protection available to employees so that puts the noise level into perspective, there must be no noise/acoustic suppression systems in place. It was quiet after the music stopped. Where we would return I would never stay or recommend any fried stay when a wedding was on unless attending the wedding.

We stayed here with our family in Jan. Staff were all extremely friendly and nice, hotel is nice, our apartment was a bit loud with people coming home late at night. Was a bit disappointed with the food in the bar, will definitely return just won't be eating in the bar.
