Palace remodeled into a hotel in the center of Mundaka. Modern rooms, with a good bed and everything new. A complete service, and very cozy. !!! I loved the bar !!!! Precise. Cozy. With some tapas that were delicious. For breakfast. For vermouth. For coffee. For drinks. Good terrace. In fact, the neighbors of Mundaka go to have vermouth at the hotel bar... with that I say it all... And... Good people... In the hotel, in the bar... People give a lot of value to everything. A show of a hotel... because of the people... they make you feel at home.

Hotel Luruna Palacio Larrinaga is reasonably new. It has an old façade but modern & contemporary interior. Its decoration is both tasteful and functional. Our room is not big but spotless. The bed is very comfortable. Bath towels are of high quality. The shower is not powerful rather gentle. The hotel has its own restaurant, which offers both tapas and cooked meals. We enjoyed both during our 3 nights stay. Luruna Palacio has its own secured car park which is part of the reason why we decided to stay here. There is also a public bus to Bilbao just outside the hotel. Although we had a hired car, but driving in Spain for a foreigner (from a country with vast land not many people) is not all that fun, besides the difficulty in finding a car park. So we used the bus to Bilbao, no stress, fantastic. No hotels can be great without their staff. The staff of this hotel are exceptional. From the reception to the restaurant, everyone is friendly & helpful. We were greeted by every staff with a smile. Our big thanks to the lovely Itsasu. She’s often above and beyond her duty helping her guests, she’s a real asset to the hotel. Itsasu made our stay extra special. Big kisses & hugs from Australia :)
