Wombat's City Hostel Munich Hauptbahnhof

Location is very close to Munich Hbf,just across the road. Shared kitchen was well equipped. Our room has ensuite toilet.. But was quite small. You will need to put on the bed sheet, pillow case, etc your side, and at the end of trip, u will need to bring everything down to the laundry cart. They have happy hour at the bar.. Music play thru out the night till 2plus am. Extended check out time after 10am will be extra euro per pax which I think is very reasonable. Cleaner came into room at around 10am, everyday. There was once we will still in our room, we got a shock, as she did not knock the door, just open with her access card. Only then we realised she came everyday. Overall quite nice. If u are looking for budget accommodation, can consider. Btw, we are a group of 4 gers, having the room to ourself, so no experience about mixed sharing dorm.

We stayed for 2 more nights in the same room 213 and are very happy with our room and the excellent services from the staff. Because they are a budget place, no kettle and no glass/cup are set in the room. 4 towels and shower gel are provided. The bed covers are made from elastic fabric and they are not smooth. The blankets are made from non-elastic cotton fabric and are very new. They don’t clean our room for the whole 3 nights but no problem. I personally don’t need that.

It’s comfortable and clean, location is also good with groceries and coffee shop. But I didn’t receive the check-in email so I can’t get in my room. And I try to find a reception but there’s no reception, I tried to call them but nobody answered, I tried email but they replied slowly. Finally I call the emergency number then I can check in. It’s a good place but not a very nice check in experience.

Location is near the big bus tour (both of them )?pick up spots . U-Bahn is next to it along with tram stops. Literally a 15 minute walk from Marienplatz:shopping area. Rooms were cool. No lotion provided. Soap bars are small, sheets are comfy, plenty of closet space for a small room. Stairs are good if the elevator takes too long . Gummi Bears are worth the €1 if you haven’t seen them in ages . Photos are of things in reasonable walking distance

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. Very clean and large room, the dimensions are those of an apartment: at the entrance there is a hallway with wardrobe, two sofas, kitchenette with microwave oven, dishwasher, large fridge with freezer, kettle and induction hobs (with special various pots and pans). And a very large TV at the foot of the bed, above a desk with a telephone. The bathroom was very clean, with a tub used as a shower and a faucet inserted inside it (it would have been a bidet). Every day the cleaning ladies left us sachets of soap, shower gel and shampoo. Included in the price we also included breakfast: very good! Friendly, courteous and smiling staff. Hotel to be highly recommended, it is a few steps from Karlsplatz and therefore very close to the center (10 min walk and there we are). There are also restaurants and supermarkets near the hotel, so everything is close at hand. We will definitely be back
