Hotels in Yunshuiyao Ancient Town, Nanjing

The weather was perfect when I went there, and I could see beautiful scenery from the room. The location and hardware facilities of the B&B are good, and the service is also very good. You can ask the owner directly about what to eat and what to do in Yunshuiyao. The scenic area is not big, but it is very suitable for slowing down life and drinking tea and daydreaming under the banyan tree by the stream.

The hotel is located next to the scenic spot, with convenient transportation, clean and sanitary, and the stay experience is ok. ps: The scenery of the ancient town is average, not worth the ticket price, the charges for the earth buildings are unreasonable, there is a problem of double charging, and the whole day's experience is average.

The accommodation feels good, the room is hygienic and clean, the layout is simple and elegant. I especially like the beautiful scenery that can be seen through the two large glass windows. The boss is an enthusiastic person, and the dishes he cooks are delicious, especially the steamed light fish, which is delicious. One thing to note is that the bath water is an electric water heater, and the stored hot water is only enough for one person. The next person has to wait for the water to be boiled before washing. You need to be patient.

The location of the B&B is good, very close to the scenic spots; the store owner is warm and hospitable, and also made health tea and desserts for us after visiting the scenic spots at night (Figure 1); the prepared breakfast is also good (Figure 2)😌 If there are sisters who need to charter a car, you can contact the store in advance to help book it. It is more convenient and cost-effective than taking a Didi at the high-speed rail station. It would be better if the waterproof facilities in the shower room could be improved.

The hotel is in a great location, just opposite the waterwheel and next to the Yunshui Yao stone tablet. It is very suitable for taking photos in the morning and evening when there are few tourists. The boss provides very good service. It is a cost-effective B&B and is worth recommending to everyone!

A very satisfactory B&B. It is located by the water. It is quiet in the bustle. It is very quiet at night. It is in the Yunshuiyao Scenic Area. It takes 8 minutes to walk slowly to Huaiyuan Tower. There is no charge to climb the tower at night. It takes 7 minutes to walk to the central waterwheel. The bar there is very lively with singing at night and the night view is super beautiful. Has its own parking lot. The boss is warm and hospitable, and he will take the initiative to pick us up in the parking lot and drag our luggage. The room is clean and beautiful, the bedding is clean and comfortable to sleep on. The package includes an afternoon tea with delicious cakes, watermelon, and chrysanthemum tea. The food at the B&B is delicious, including tiger tail chicken soup, sweet potato leaves, tofu stew, and stir-fried bamboo shoots. The wine brewed by the owner is delicious. Breakfast is also good, clean and hygienic. The next day at noon, I ate the braised noodles made by the boss, which was great.

Nice tuluo turned Bnb, very pretty. I booked the private room outside of the tuluo and turn out very hot in the day cuz it’s facing the sun and the aircon isn’t working well. It’s quite suffering. But the staff managed to get the technician to fix the aircon, still hot but much better. Staffs are super nice and helpful. They helped us got a cake for our friend’s bday. Overall I enjoyed the place.

We stayed in Floral Luxury.1949 Guesthouse for 1 night. We booked Mufan room located on the ground floor as i am travelling with my elderly mom and carrying heavy luggage bags. The guesthouse butler will contact you the night before your arrival to add them to Wechat for easy communication. They will share their hotel location and offer pick-up service at the train station if required. Access to Yunshuiyao town is RMB90 perpax and free for those aged above 65 years old. Yunshuiyao is a scenic town area with 3 km long (2 - 3 hours walk). We hired a chinese speaking guide to accompany us to explain the history of Huaiyan building (square tulou), Hegui building (round tulou), and the town area. It cost RMB100. The guesthouse is located inside Yunshuiyao town, behind the shop houses, in-between waterwheel and 2 trees (named as husband and wife) aged above 670 years old. When we reached there at 2.30 pm, it was raining. The hotel staff immediately came out with an umbrella to pick us up and assist with the luggage. The check-in is fast, and the access to the room is by password, which they will share in Wechat. Checkout is also very easy. The hotel offered free fruits twice a day, afternoon and evening. The basic bathroom essentials are complete, and they also provide bathrobes. The bed and pillows are very comfortable for a good night sleep. Luckily the aircond can change to warm mode as it was very cold on raining day. There's a mini kids playground for children's. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast set come with porridge and soya drink. Can topup if needed more. The in-house restaurant provides lunch & dinner with a la carte chinese foods menu. The sky brightens at 5 am, while the sun rises high at 6.45am. If you are able to wake up early, this is the best time for you to revisit the town and tulou surrounding area for nice photos and cool breeze as only local people around. There's a roadside stall selling super long youtiao (equal to size of 2 youtiao) located near the stone bridge not far from guesthouse. The whole Yunshuiyao town is covered with natural peebles pathway. Wear suitable shoes as it will be very slippery during the rainy day.

I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to stay in a tulou after spending days checking them out, and I was lucky enough to find just one of my most favourite accommodation experiences ever - 云水谣长荣楼, the Tower of Sustained Glory, at the Ballad of Clouds and Water. Traditional tulous were poorly equiped for comfort, with claustrophobically small rooms and communal bathrooms. People didn’t choose to live this way - they had to. Luckily for us, for the grand total of $119 AUD per night, which is so modest of an amount in Australia, where I’m from, we got to stay in a 99 years old tulou renovated with modern creature comforts… and then some. Think a beautiful room dedicated to tea-making. Voice-controlled lights & music, and remote controlled curtains. A smart toilet, and one of the biggest showers I’ve ever seen, with a heater blowing warm air into the shower stall for the cold winters (although the hot water reserve is limited). Did I mention a 2m wide bed in which we slept like babies? Not to mention the building itself is of course a piece of heritage art. The few days I have spent with the tulous had thoroughly been one of my most favourite travel experiences ever.

The hotel is very clean. Very suitable for leisure travel with parents and children. The bedding is very comfortable to sleep, with strong support, and there is no feeling of back pain when I wake up. Breakfast specially cooked local noodles for the children, and the children loved it very much. The staff are very welcoming and very happy to live here. Parents and children are very satisfied.
