Nanjing Xuanwu District Hotels

Stayed at Grand Metro Park Hotel 3 nights, ( December 2024) with family. Received the room we wanted. Staff was helpful. Pool closed, but was clear when we booked so wasn't disappointed. Breakfast- many options, though nothing *spectacular*. Super clean. 2 water bottles everyday. Great view of the Nanjing Museum, though military morning exercises can be heard from down the street. Overall, ok. Maybe better for a Chinese travel group or business-persons.

My first day wasn't very pleasant. However, when the hotel customer service knew that I wasn't entirely satisfied with my stay, they tried to understand the situation and tried their very best to redeem themselves and fulfill my needs.

Clean and spacious room, close to xuanwu lake. Close to metro and Nanjing railway station. Breakfast is OK. Receptionists on the first day when arriving are willingly helpful. Only smell of tobacco painted in the room is allergically disturbing, though 2 room changed already.

The hotel is located in the center of Nanjing, near the Daxingong station, it is very convenient. It is a very modern hotel with good amenities and the breakfast is good. The only problem is that the space in the bathroom is a bit small.

The new hotel is located in the scenic area of Zhongshan yet remains not too far from everything - a huge contrast to the hustle and bustle downtown. Got assigned a room facing the front courtyard and it could be noisy at times when guests and locals walk past while chatting loudly. The musical fountain could also be annoying if you're not into that kind of thing. Everything in the room worked as they should be except the master lighting control, which was a bit funny - could be a wiring problem. Staff was very welcoming and polite. Security was a bit slack as they'd give you a new key card without having first check your ID.

The room was big and felt very luxury. The washing room was in the 3rd floor which was very convenient but you have to ask the washing detergent from the staff.

The VIP building is a low-rise annex building next to the main building. It is newly renovated and the rooms are not big, but the facilities are good. The electronic toilet and electric towel rack are very good. There is a Taizhou morning tea house in the courtyard, which opens at 7 o'clock. The most good thing is the free museum at the entrance-Lizhi Society. It is quiet but the exhibition hall is very delicate. There are furnishings of Chiang Kai-shek and his wife living here to entertain guests, and it also shows historical clips of the trial of Japanese war criminals. It is worth seeing.

I came to Nanjing again. This time, because I only stayed for one day, I chose a hotel that seemed to be very cost-effective. I didn't expect to be unexpectedly satisfied. The hotel should be newly renovated, with a little smell. The lobby smells heavy, but the guest rooms are okay. I like the decoration style very much, and the materials used for decoration are also very solid and not sloppy. Although the room is small, it has everything. The TV is quite large, beating many old five-star hotel small-screen TVs. Welcome fruits are also washed and delivered to the room, and takeaways are also delivered to the room by a special person, which is so convenient! When checking in, I heard the lady next to me asking the guests who checked out about their stay experience, and patiently listened to suggestions for improvement. After checking out today, I received a special call from the hotel to understand the stay experience. It feels that the hotel is taking every guest's feelings seriously.

Great location just south of Xianmen station. Quite tired looking from the outside but improves drastically upon approaching the lobby. The property is aged but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Bed is super soft, big desk and chair, couch is sturdy and the cup disinfector is a nice touch. Wifi speed is about 20 megs per second and there are tons of TV channels. Buffet breakfast had many options. Robot butlers on standby. Love the ceiling mounted showerhead. There was a fridge but it was locked, quite pointless. Overall this is easily the best place I’ve stayed in Nanjing and recommend it.

The hotel is near the Ming Palace Station on Line 2, which is very convenient for travel. It is also very close to Nanjing Museum, Confucius Temple, Jiming Temple and other scenic spots. You can also take a taxi directly there. The hotel was newly built in 2021, so it is highly intelligent. It has voice control and smart toilets. There is a rack for hanging clothes in front of the sink, which is very practical. The room area is relatively large, and it is a very cost-effective hotel.
