Nara Guesthouse Kamunabi

The toilet and bathroom were very clean and put to the face washing and moisturizing liquid. The meal was only breakfast, but all the dishes were delicious, and it was the best to eat exquisitely fluffy * which was not called scrambled eggs or plain omelettes with bacon. I thought it would be good to stay at this price during the busy period, but I thought that it would be repeated at any timing. I'm glad that I can stay for a longer time next time.

This hotel is located on Mount Wakakusa in Nara. The location is a bit remote, but the scenery is really great, especially in the early morning, when you see the entire Nara city shrouded in mist, it is super beautiful. The room is a traditional Japanese tatami room, which is quite comfortable but not too luxurious. The hot spring is open-air, so you can soak in it while looking at the mountain view, which is really relaxing. However, the hot spring pool is not big and may be a bit crowded if there are many people. Dinner was kaiseki, and the portion was a bit too much for us. Generally speaking, this place is suitable for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax. Just be mentally prepared. This place is quite quiet and there are not many entertainment facilities. The focus is on relaxation.

Although it's a hotel on the outskirts, it's a quiet hotel with perfect restaurants and services inside. It's just too far from downtown.
JW Marriott Hotel Nara

The room is very clean and comfortable, with consistent JW Marriott quality service. It is located next to the Convention Center. There is a parking lot for self-driving tours, and bicycles can be borrowed for exploring the attractions in the area.

Exceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point. All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable. One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this. I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.
