The Club Motor in has slipped in quality over the past few years. We have been stopping here for overnight stays for over 20 years. The motel this time was looking decidedly worn and in need of refreshing. Cleanliness was an issue with a stained doona, stained worn out lounge, shower stall grout in need of thorough clean (reported to management). We understand that there has been a change in management who are attempting to deal with these and other matters. The bed was only average and unit facilities limited. Disappointing.

Delightful older style property. Cheap, cheerful and absolutely spotless. Came here after a less than gracious experience at another place in town to be greeted with a friendly smile. This is quite central and convenient to the town’s centre. After a long day’s drive, it was a great pleasure to be able to park in front of my room. The room itself is typical of the original country motels, but while it’s compact, it has a comfortable bed and an air-con that would serve a snap freezing plant well (I turned the temperature up to a sensible mark). The bonus is that it has the Leaping Lizard as its house eatery, nothing flash but good pub style food.
