Caroline House Nashville Historic Inn

We did the run of the house rental for Thanksgiving week. Two families of 5, and we could not have been more pleased with the home. It was very clean, extremely well appointed with everything we needed. We made a full TG meal without missing a single kitchen tool or amenity. The bedroom layout is fantastic - the backyard fireplace and front porch charm is amazing. We all agreed that we wished we could have stayed on through Christmas. So much is walkable, and when we did go downtown it was about 10 minute drive. I can’t say enough about this amazing home and the host and hostess are terrific. They were incredibly responsive while allowing us complete and total privacy. Awesome week!!

Best sleep ever!! Love everything about our stay here. Comfortable bed, beautiful accents and super clean house. The hosts are attentive and friendly. So close to good food and shopping too. Just a couple of blocks from 12 South. Uber over to Broadway and have fun! We will be back. Thanks again Ashley and Michael.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at charming, historic Caroline House—so inviting and comfortable, with wonderful hosts Ashley and Michael affording us an insider’s view of Nashville living in lovely, walkable 12-South neighborhood! Easy access to universities, numerous dining and shopping options and lots “beyond Broadway”. Enjoyed the clever breakfast tour of notable neighborhood spots—and great place to put our feet up between events!

Caroline House totally exceeded our expectations. It has been lovingly restored and the decor and amenities are outstanding.Ashley and Michael are the perfect hosts , we really appreciated their hospitality: thoughtfulness and kindness : nothing was too much bother for them. I would highly recommend this accommodation to other guests

First let me say the house is very clean. The area was nice and it was quiet. The bed and pillows comfortable. However, it is not an inn and not historic. Having stayed exclusively in historic inns on this trip, it was a bit of a letdown to discover that we had booked a room in what amounted to a suburban house—albeit a nice one. Please note that we had specifically searched for historic inns and hotels, not airbnbs. There were 3 or 4 rooms upstairs that had been turned into guest rooms. None of the rooms had locks. Instead we were given a plastic wedge to push under the door. There were security cameras at the front door, on the porch, in the downstairs living/kitchen area and on the landing. I can only hope they were not in the bedrooms. The owner anxiously greeted us with a long list of things not to do: walk heavily, talk loudly & etc. It seems they must have had rowdy guests in the past. There were also further detailed instructions posted inside each room. Despite all of the above, it was a pleasant sun-filled place and clearly the homeowner was proud of his home, as he should be.

We loved our stay at the Caroline House Historic Inn. It is the best B&B we have ever stayed at. The house itself has a historic look and feel but with all the modern conveniences. In addition to being immaculately kept, it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The communication before, during and after our stay was great and they even went out of make things easier for us when we arrived to Nashville. Our hosts were amazing and took the time out to talk to us and really get to know us. Teresa was exceptionally personable and made great suggestions based on the things she learned about us. They make you feel like you are staying with family. We loved that they provided breakfast vouchers to different local places for each day of our stay. The 12 South neighborhood has a ton of great restaurants and boutiques, all within walking distance of the house. The overall vibe of the area was fun, festive and upbeat. Because it was pretty cold while we were there, we used Uber, which was very inexpensive at less than $6 for most all of our rides, including to downtown. This trip was a late celebration of our 15 year anniversary and I can honestly say that staying at the Caroline House Historic Inn made it very special. We will definitely be back and hope to bring some of the friends we regularly travel with next time.
