Most reviews praise the staff!! I couldn’t agree with those more!! The five stars are for the amazing and genuinely kind staff!! Yanina, Ignacio and the tall young man whose name I did not get were so sweet and helpful!! The chef whose name I also did not get is fantastic! He works from 6am to 10:30pm daily all by himself!! Wow!! My daughter and I were there for five nights and had dinner there a couple nights. The dishes were excellently prepared, delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet is also very good!! I asked for a boiled egg once and the next day a boiled egg was waiting for me! Very thoughtful chef (and Yanina who also remembered). Yes the rooms definitely need some TLC and updating but our room was very clean. And the public areas are beautiful, spacious and also very clean. The views are so wonderful. We have the water and mountain views from our room. The fancy hotel next door the Singular Patagonia has the same views but they charge $2000+/night. The distance to town is not an issue for us. In fact I think HD is much better positioned than the in-town hotels are, away from the noise and tourists of the town yet it’s not that far from town. I walked into town three times. It’s about an hour-long leisurely paced walk along the beautiful lake. It’s also easy to call a cab or uber for around US$4-5. Another plus for the location of HD is that the hotel is closer to Torres del Paine than the town is. The hiking and other tours we took always picked us up last and dropped us off first which means we spent a lot less time on the bus than others did!! Also the hotel is a 4-min walk to Puerto Bories which is a plus if you’re taking any boat rides from there. Overall a wonderful experience.

This hotel is a little farther from town, close to the airport. Big common room to lounge in and enjoy the view. Great buffet breakfast. Thank you to Fran and Ignacio for being great hosts. The floors are gleaming and can’t complain about the view! Wish we could have stayed longer, we were very happy with this hotel.

Absolutely great staff , manager and owner. I wanted to thank deeply to Fran and Jorge ! They were our angel today. Wi-Fi was slow and we were about to have a meeting. The place is in real need of renovation.the view is great. No Elevator if you have problem climbing.

Ubicado en un lugar muy tranquilo, en Puerto Bories. A 5 km del centro de la ciudad. Frente al Fiordo Señoret, tiene muy lindas vistas. Si quieres un lugar tranquilo a buen precio, este es una buena alternativa. Además tiene restaurant donde se puede almorzar o comer.
