Plumpton Court

We received a warm welcome. There was a delicious plate of flapjack waiting in our room. A very good sleep on a comfy bed. Plenty of hot water. Very clean. The breakfast, in particular the fluffy scrambled eggs, is delicious. There is a comfy bar area. The rooms are not huge but have everything you need. We have been coming to the area each year for 10 years and this is the first time this hotel came up on a search, I think people are keeping it to themselves. We will most definitely be back.

An amazing place to stay. Jenny and Chris are very welcoming, the rooms are top notch and the breakfast was delicious. I would 100 % recommend this lovely B & B. A perfect place to explore the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Dunnington Hall is a good trip.

What a wonderful 5 nights stay we had at this 6 star B & B. i say six because in all my travels in the UK and Europe I have never been so welcomed and treat like a member of the Family. so five stars do not give enough credit to our stay and the wonderful home cook breakfasts. Cris our host went beyond just being a host he was more like a old friend. My advise to anybody who wants to in the north Yorkshire moors Stay at Plumpton Court . You might have to book early as this B&B will be busy.

I was taken to Plumpton Court guest house for two nights as part of an extended birthday treat by my partner and sister who had been there before. A beautiful big house with character and charm. Chris greeted us cheerfully and friendly and you just knew that it was going to be a good stay. There's a lovely lounge bar area and a relaxed atmosphere. Our rooms were clean and bright and the most huge comfortable high quality bed. Breakfast was the best ever with fresh local produce and even vine tomatoes. A choice of cereals and fresh fruit juice. I can say genuinely that this is the best guest house/hotel experience I've ever had. I can hardly wait for our next visit.

We have a rule. Never go back to somewhere that you really enjoyed as your sweet memories will be shattered. We have broken this rule three times now with Plumpton Court and will do again. Hosting is first class. Rooms very clean. Breakfast superb with lots of choice. Lovely touches like home made flapjack in the room and homemade marmalade at breakfast. Both were delicious. Free private parking. You will need to research eating out in the evening. We had a mixed experience. In summary we will be rule breaking again. We left happy.

Arrived at Plumpton Court on Friday evening and from the moment we arrived the hosts, Chris and Jenny, couldn’t have been more helpful. We were in the ground floor room which was a twin. The beds could do with an update but the rest of the facilities were great. The shower was brilliant and little touches like homemade flapjacks in the room were lovely. Went and sat in the lounge first evening and was joined by Chris. Really nice chap with a wealth of stories. The breakfast Saturday morning was fabulous, perfectly cooked and well presented. We used the hotel as a base to explore the local hot spots and Chris pointed us in the right direction. There is a lack of local taxi services, make sure if you want a taxi you book ahead. You can find all the numbers on Plumpton Courts website. Each room has a tv with an attached DVD player. There are plenty on choices and we really enjoyed falling asleep to some old classics. Breakfast on the second morning was amazing. I had scrambled eggs and they are probably the best I’ve ever had - sublime. Would highly reckoned Plumpton Court. The hosts are amazing and really set a standard which will be hard to beat. If we are in North York’s again we would definitely stay at Plumpton Court.
