Naxos Oceamo

This was my second visit to this accommodation previously known as Anassa Suites Naxos, now called Oceamo Naxos. I really enjoyed my stay Sep 2024 and had no reason to think I was not going back to have a second great experience. I booked in Jan 2025 for June and alarm bells began in Apr when I went to check something about my booking! The original website was gone, not to be found anywhere but after some time checking online I found a website under a new name with the photos for Anassa Suites, now called Oceamo Naxos. There had been no communication from the property on this. I emailed just to reconfirm all was okay with my booking made several months earlier directly on the original site and it took several follow up emails to get them to respond at all. My booking was fine I was told and I then replied back to enquire about modifying my booking. Again it took several emails but this time they never replied. The date before I arrived I had not heard from the property about my arrival, if memory serves correctly they were in touch prior to my arrival in Sep24. So I independently emailed them my approx. arrival time and stated I was arriving by ferry. As I set off from another island I had still heard nothing but on disembarking a number of hours later saw a whatsapp had been sent while I had been travelling. I reconfirmed the information on arrival at Naxos port as per my email then previous day and walked up to the property. In spite of it being check in time, reception was closed. There was an A4 page on the window with a mobile number which I then messaged and sat down to wait. Someone appeared within 15mins thankfully. I was brought to my room, a different one from the previous year, I had upgraded and picked one with a balcony but it was quite disappointing. It was tired and in need of a freshen up. The bathroom grout around shower had mould which needed replacing, sealant around kitchen sink was lifting, net curtains were musty and stank: needed to be freshly washed, balcony chairs paint was cracked and lifting, dents in walls, paintwork needed touching up and overall it didn't look like photos, all the little touches were gone. Toilet holder had been broken and toilet rolls just left on the vanity, glass for bathroom had also been broken and replaced with a larger one that did not fit in the holder. Toiletries were not always replaced even when empty. The safe was also locked shut and that took 3 days to resolve and a replacement safe, not secured to anything, was left in the room and it had a large key to haul around if you felt inclined to use it. The shower water was cold one day which I reported in the morning and came back in the evening to find it was still cold. Again I reported by whatsapp but that correspondence descended into unpleasant accusations, primarily of my being wasteful with water after I let the water run to see would it warm up so I could not be accused of not letting it run sufficiently. We were a little disappointed by our stay here - it is now also known as Oceama which we weren’t advised. My advice would be to double check before you book if what is listed on their website is actually available. I pointed out that they shouldn’t be on website if they aren’t actually offered. The owner said on the phone he would meet me at 3pm but then his daughter said he is away and not back for another 11 days…. Very strange and I found a little insulting. The room was ok but the service was non existent.

Brilliant location for a visit to Naxos , huge number of excellent restaurants and bars nearby . Very quiet at night .

Gorgeous Building and friendly host! Beautiful location 600 meters to Ferry doc and Agios Beach and 300 meters from Agios Castle. Updated and comfortable! Building has the curved white architecture that is quintessentially Greek . The balcony was huge. Close to Old Town, shopping and restaurants. At night you can hear the music from the restaurants (which was ok w us). Great host with information and maps for us

Excelent location, very clean, impecabile, great value, stunning rooms that have everithing you need. I felt like i was in paradise. Rooms are big and quiet. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Higly recomend. Will come again!
