Hotel Villa Flora

This was no ordinary stay. We intended to stay for five nights, but this ended up a nine night stay as our 3yr old daughter fell ill. The lovely Flora kicked into action getting us to the hospital and her staff attended our every need in the coming days as she recovered. We arrived as strangers and left as family. We stayed in Room 8. Whilst it’s literally all just one room there’s still ample space for two parents and a child. The tv was a bonus as our daughter needed to rest for a few days. The room is just above street level (great to watch the passers by and see a bit of life around) it’s bright and well ventilated. I loved reading my book out on the balcony. Shower water pressure was really great too. The laundry, mini mart, atm, beach, restaurants all a very short walk. There’s also a clothes line and on the balcony which was handy. The bed and pillows super comfy. Flora’s staff this year, who stay on site, Romaline and Bernadette were golden gems and I hear they’ll be back next year. Lovely variety of pastries, fruit and cooked options for breakfast too. We sincerely thank Flora, Bernadette and Romaline for the help, love, kindness and support we received.

Despite us being her family, this woman was and IS despicable. My family has visited her twice, once as a family and the 2nd time just my sister. The first time she made fun of me for having a black boyfriend, berated me for not eating something that for several reasons I could not eat (i was allergic to it AND i had just gotten my wisdom teeth removed.) Other than that she was just generally catty and rude. The real kicker is when my sister visited her recently. She was left without electricity, food, and transportation for her entire visit. Refused to call any sort of electrician and instead blamed my Sister for not fixing it. Refused to communicate with my sister or her cousin (my step father) on when and how my sister would be working for her since thats part of why she was going to be staying with her. My sister was originally going to be staying with Flora for several months, however due to Flora's abhorrent behavior she decided to leave. Flora kicked her out of her car with several insults thrown my sisters way, truly cementing Villa Flora and Flora by extension as a hellish experience

We have never experienced such abhorrent behaviour by the owner, as we did on the night of May 7th. There was a sudden power outage in our room. It was 9:30 at night and we asked her two young cleaning staff to phone the owner and let her know we had no power. There is no reception at this hotel. (I had thought this place was a hotel, but it appears it is more like a B&B as the cleaning staff are the only people whom you can address a concern.) They did inform us that the owner phoned back and told them she would deal with the issue in the morning. We stated that this wasn’t acceptable as we had no power. She did eventually come, and on her arrival, she started berating us, stating that we must have done something to the ‘card key’ box (where you insert a plastic thing-a-ma-jig attached to your key to turn on the power). We told her that the power went out with a bang on the other side of the room when we tried to turn on the bedside light. She wouldn’t listening to us, and started yelling that we caused this, and we would have to pay for it. Her behaviour was out of control. She continued to scream at us, threatening to throw us out, and making us pay for something we had nothing to do with. Her behaviour escalated when we suggested we change rooms and refused to take responsibility for something we had nothing to do with. Finally after a half an hour of her accusatory yelling behaviour, she called in an electrician who fixed the problem. The problem, apparently, was a wiring short in the bedside light. She then berated her cleaning girls saying they must have spilled water over it. Interestingly enough, for the rest of our stay we had no hot water in the shower. The owner was despicable in her behaviour and we would never recommend this place.

A delightful boutique hotel, in a quiet location, within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops, and the main tourist district down at the port. It is 30 seconds away from a wonderful little tavern called Oasis that has amazing traditional Greek food! Staff at Villa Flora are warm, welcoming and helpful, breakfast is basic but nice (eggs, pastries, fruit, yoghurt), rooms are clean and spacious and a very safe area. A very comfortable stay. Would return when visiting Naxos again!

This was my second stay at Villa flora and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Naxos. The host and staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautifully styled with lots of attention to detail. The pillows are plump, the blankets are soft and the rooms are always spotlessly clean. Breakfast is a treat and the location is second to none, walk to town and the beach. The rooms are also bigger than the average in Greece. Don't hesitate to stay here! I will be back.

With my wife, we have stayed in Villa Flora Hotel for 2 nights. Excellent and very personalized attention, very clean room and good breakfast. We would return.
