I can't say enough good things about our stay here! First of all, from the roof terrace you will have the best view of the archaeological park of the pyramids in all of Giza! You have practically nothing in front of you and as the crow flies, 200 meters away you have Cheops and the Sphinx! The sunset from here is an experience that is already worth the cost of the stay, which is very honest. The breakfast is super abundant and served with extreme kindness on the terrace. The owner is one of the most honest, helpful and kind people we have met and in Egypt this is not always easy unfortunately. He has always, really always shown himself to be disinterested and he also helped us (more than necessary) in solving a problem with booking after we had already returned home. Few would have helped us, but he answered all our requests. He will put himself at your COMPLETE disposal for everything, but he will never try to cheat you, on the contrary, if possible he will always help you save money and direct you towards the best value for money, without any annoyance or insistence, if you ask he will help you, if not he leaves you alone. The structure is unpretentious, but clean and tidy, there is plenty of hot water and the rooms are large, for what I spent you absolutely can't ask for better here. The main entrance to the pyramids with the ticket office is practically around the corner under the hotel. The new museum is on the opposite side of the pyramids, so if you read that a hotel in this part of Giza is also close to the new museum, already discard the review because it is not possible, if you stay on this side of Giza, which in any case has the best view of the archaeological park you cannot also be close to the museum. In any case, in 5 minutes by taxi (1 euro with Uber) you can also reach the museum and in 4 or 5 euros by taxi (always Uber, but watch out for scams) you can get to Cairo. In the surrounding area there are many restaurants and bars for lunch and dinner, for the rest Giza is not very suitable for walking, you will be fine contemplating the pyramids on the panoramic roofs. It's not easy to find a place like this in Giza, believe me, it took me months to select a place that had honest and truthful reviews, what a struggle! I really recommend Solima!
