Liked it · Location, staff, especially the service of the terrace. The breakfast is great, enough for everyone, with a great view, but you can get a coffee on the street for €1 for a European max, and it's luxurious. The trip on Tuesday 19.11.2024 to the pyramids with the taxi driver Mahmoud (I have attached a photo) was absolutely great, he took us where he didn't have to, he took care of us with little things, a great person and didn't want anything extra. You have to ask him. Disliked · The balcony with the view of the pyramids was only for one over a musty balcony and over a huge wall, the view of the city was for two ruined buildings. We had to ask for everything, hair dryer, toilet paper, towels. The room had an unwashed floor, cracked walls, cables sticking out everywhere, these are details, but certainly not €126 for 4 nights. Maybe for €80, because of the great view from the terrace. After arriving at night, we were immediately called by the receptionist to the terrace, where he immediately forced us to go on trips, which we tiredly agreed to and at prices that we would have arranged ourselves for half and the taxi drivers would still have made money from it, but it was a good experience. We waited about 30 minutes for pizza in the evening, after a longer stay we found out that they carry almost everything to order from other shops and bakeries for a tenth of the price. We only found out about the free internet at the hotel right when we were leaving, where the employee/owner was forced to immediately enter a rating on BOOKING that it was very important to her, I understood why. We had room no. 9, I haven't seen any others.

The hotel staff tried to restrict my freedom and I was subjected to an attempted kidnapping and narrowly escaped. This is not a hotel.. it is a trap to bring victims to it. I survived by a miracle. The first thing the receptionists ask you to do is cancel your reservation and erase any evidence of your presence at the hotel. If you refuse and ask to leave, you are forced to leave.

Please do not stay at any of the Comfort Inns in Giza! They are a complete scam. I wouldn’t give them one star. We arrived at Cairo airport only to find our driver had gone. ? Cancelled by the hotel. We had been kept up all the night before as Asma had messaged us threatening to cancel if we didn’t pay ( we had already paid). The taxi driver had difficulty finding the place as there are many Comfort Inns. On arrival at The Comfort and sphinx Inn, I was taken to the roof terrace- very hot, no covering and shonky stairs- then I was shown a very basic room. Then sat downstairs while the staff ( Asma’s father, her and many male hangers on discussed us, laughed & made phone calls) Finally after at least an hour we were taken to another hotel in Giza. The father saiid “ it’s an upmarket hotel - free of charge- you’re gonna love it!”. The next hotel was again very basic, a building site. It was a bit done up with paintings & yes a view of the pyramids from the roof. Our room had no window and was very small. Nothing worked except the air- con. We also had to pay an extra $275.00 for the “ free upgrade”. We continually asked for a room with a window but were ignored. The staff were rude at best- many of them just hanging around & doing nothing. The breakfast was ok but there was no other food available there. They went out & got takeaway if you asked for a meal!! Then laughed about it when challenged. There is no bar & nothing to do at the hotel. The only civil people were to two guys helping with bags. We left after a couple of days as it was so horrible- left them with 3 days accommodation charges we had paid.

scammers, looters and thieves. They will try to scam you when you arrive by first cancelling your booking regardless of where you made it from and then trying to charge you alot more than agreed and that too converting it on a bad exchange rate in local currency. Rooms are dirty and not for family. There is never any water. The breakfast is bad and non existent. We arrived with three little kids at 10 pm and they made us wait at lobby for 3 hours after taking our money and not letting us stay even. They also have peep holes in their bathrooms from where they can see guests as my partner saw one of staff peeping in while they showered to which we complainted but no action was taken. Mahmoud and Noor are horrible people and the worst representation of egypt.

Rooms leak, there is no soap, towels - nothing! When you get to the accommodation they charge commission for booking .com and then make you cancel the booking so you are paying commission for nothing! They are scamming frauds - when we wanted to leave and get an automatic refund they convinced us to stay one night and get refund on the morning. Next morning the lady at reception was rude and would not refund the 2 nights as she said they do not have reservation for the room. I then spoke to the boss on phone who would also not budge on refunding the two nights and said he would give us a better hotel to move to. We agreed to do this for the interim because we had been arguing about the refund for over 40minutes and had a tour driver outside waiting for us. Reception lady then told us to move our bags outside of the room, I said no because we’ve paid for the room so we will move it later! In the end we returned and received a $71.40USD refund in EGP 2200… it was agreed $73 USD which isn’t much of a difference but when you’ve been treated like the trash on the side street already, you’d think they’d refund more not below what was quoted!!. This area is also rubbish prone with street hagglers at every step. If you’re used to a nice hotel/motel - book streamline like Novotel, Hilton etc - pay the extra because the hassle of this place is NOT worth it.

Very poor hotel in terms of cleanliness and location. Bathroom very undesirable and breakfast was poor. Only positive was the view from the roof. Disappointing for first time in Cairo itself. Wouldn't recommend.

Horrible! I reserved their best Room for 300 dolars for 2 nights. Arriving the hotel, the price came from 300 to 450 dolars. They tried to put me in a different Room of the onde reserved, this Room was half of the price of the onde reserved. I reclaimed and they put me in the right Room but without airconditioner in the middle of the desert. In the Second day they came to me to tell the value they charged was wrong and I had to pay more 30 dolars. This place os dishonest, be carefull!! Good localization but with a horrible experience
