Firefly Beach Cottages

We didn't stay here, just went here to eat. And actually returned 3 times! Food here is GOOD!! Service amazing, big shout out to Sophia! Really enjoyed it here and it was one of the best spots to eat on the beach at night in Negril.

This hotel served its purpose. Very rustic, so if that's what you require, you will love it. WiFi was very spotty and went down at a certain time of night. Staff very helpful and very friendly. The rooms were basic but clean, and towels were replenished every day. The location is great but the hotel could do with a bit of modernisation (in my opinion)

Better later than never! We love, love, love Firefly! Our 3rd time in the Cozy Cottage! Housekeeping was phenomenal with the lovely Tanya and Addy treated us like family! Dennis has done a great job at the Beach Bar Restaurant! Try the Grill Fish (snapper) Andrea and Howard gave us exceptional service when there was a minor mix-up with accommodations. Security, Gary and Jarvis are to notch! EVERYONE that works there, I find to be top notch! Especially Sophia at the bar! I picked up a chicken ***** with my finger and she gently slapped my hand to use a fork! I felt like Ma was with me! By the end of our trip, there was nothing better to here Sophia say "Piwinski, pay your bill!" We plan on going back in October and can't wait to see our Firefly family!! Thanks everyone! You guys ALL rock!

I stayed in a basic cabin and had a great time. The cabin was older, but well-kept and very clean. There was someone there to clean daily if you wanted. It was a shared bathroom and shower situation but when I arrived, no one else was staying in the cabins so I pretty much had my own private bathroom. Bathroom was also kept very clean, they are like 10 to 15 feet away from the cabins so quick and easy to access. The beach well, is always spectacular. Firefly is in a great spot along the main beach to walk either north, or south to check out restaurants, bars and shops. Unbelievable sunsets from their beach and restaurant patio. Lots of lounge chairs, and tables at the beach so you don’t have to worry about getting up early. More than enough shade for everyone staying at the hotel and there’s also lots of sunny area for sun worshipers. It would be nice to have the chairs re-strung so they are less saggy, but that was a minor thing. Firefly restaurant is great. They have a limited menu which is good because the few things on the menu they do well. Everything is freshly cooked in the kitchen and delicious. They also do a red stripe and appetizer special between noon and 2 PM daily, which is a great time to grab a bite to eat and start on beer. Red stripes are really reasonably priced all the time at their bar which is great. All the staff were really kind and accommodating, which really made my stay wonderful. You also get to know a lot of the other guests so it’s becomes very comfortable. Hopefully will be back soon!

Thank you to ALL the staff at Firefly! You made our family vacation to Jamacia a very memorable trip. The rooms were kept clean, the food and drinks are excellent, and there are no word to describe the vibe at Firefly! Our cleaning lady went beyond what we expected, and the bar and kitchen staff worked very hard to keep us happy. This was sour first trip to Negril and you did not disappoint us at all. We look coward to seeing you all very soon.

Loved the area, the restaurant, the beach....unfortunately, they were so disorganized that upon check in, I was told there was no room for me and my friend and that we would be placed for one night down the beach at another place (away from our friends who had rooms here) until the next day when they would have a room for us. Went to other place, it was filthy and NOT what I was expecting or what I was paying for, so I knew immediately I would not enjoy even one night here. Fast forward to 30 minutes later meeting our friends back down by where were supposed to stay - they ended up with extra beds, so my friend and myself pay 10 bucks for a cab to grab our luggage at the other place (because nobody from Firefly could or would drive us to get our luggage). We stay the night at firefly with our friends, a little annoyed, but glad to have our luggage and to be at the place where I had my reservations. I speak to people at Firefly the next day making it clear that I did not spend the night at the other hotel, and asked if they would compensate me for that wasted night and was told " we will work something out". We get situated into our place (by ourselves, no assistance, other than picking up our key, no apologies, etc)....seemingly no issues until the final day when we had to move one more time to a different room with no explanation. I'm not sure what's going on there, but I still had to pay for a wasted night and was basically told "too bad"...not our problem. Furthermore, if you stay closer to the main road, there are roosters on either side of the buildings that are noisy AF day and night - I would NOT recommend staying here if you can help it.
