The rooms are very luxurious with an amazing view over the vineyards. The staff provided exceptional service, and the in-room breakfast selection exceeded our expectations. The downstairs restaurant was cozy and offered a high-quality gourmet experience. If Neive is ever part of our travel plans again, this would definitely be the place to stay.

Lovely small hotel in the old town centre with views across the hills and vineyards towards Barbaresco. Our suite was spacious and perfectly appointed and breakfast- brought to the room - was sumptuous! A wonderful way to start the day. Vehicle access limited but we had no trouble parking a 5m walk away. Drop off and pick up of luggage possible but must avoid the hours when the centre of Neive is pedestrian only. PS. While Neive does not have the wine reputation of Barbaresco or Barolo we found it to be the most charming of all the region’s small towns.

We, a group of 4 couples went to experience Piedmont over 5 days and luckily picked Borgo Vecchio Locanda di Charme as our hotel. Excellent preparation and communication with Angelica secured the right restaurants, the right activities and e-bikes. Full utilization of our stay. Wonderful location in Barbaresco with Barbaresco wine tasting in the hotel the day we arrived. Several high class restaurants in Neive, minutes walk away. Spacious, comfortable clean rooms. Delicious breakfast served like we visited family. Always a smile and positive comments. Very service minded staff, very friendly tone. Views from the rooms overlooking the Barbaresco vineyards towards the west with the sunset. Beautiful! Highly recommended. Couldn't have wished for more. We plan to go again and stay at the Borgo Vecchio. Well done!

This was our last stop on a month-long holiday in Europe from Australia. We travelled by train and a delay on one of our trains meant we missed a connecting train and our prearranged taxi from the station to the hotel (arranged through Angelica). Angelica was very kindly able to arrange for her colleague Juliana to pick us from the station which was very much appreciated and saved us from a 20-minute walk up the hill with our suitcases. The slight hassle of getting to Neive without a car was well worth it. What a lovely little town with enotecas allowing you to try the best of wines from the region right in town, very high-quality restaurants and some of the friendliest people we have encountered throughout Europe. Angelica also arranged a tasting and tour at a nearby winery Francone which was about a 20-minute walk from town and well worth doing. The owner even offered us a lift back to Neive. The accommodation was the main highlight though. Large rooms with separate living area and a small balcony with amazing views over nearby vineyards and neighbouring towns, along with the snowcapped Alps in the distance. Comfortable beds, clean modern bathrooms and delicious breakfasts which were included in the price. We had dinner on our last night at the attached restaurant, Donna Selvatica, which showcased local cuisine and was superb. We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at Borgo Vecchio and Neive and hope to return in the not-too-distant future. A massive thank you to Angelica for her assistance before our arrival and during our stay.

I was bringing a group of six people for four rooms to this hotel. On our arrival to Milan, my mother-in-law fell at the airport and broke her arm badly. This meant that three of us (two rooms) had to return to the U.S. for her surgery. The hotel aggressively hounded me for full payment that first day. I did the right thing and made full payment for the stay via credit cardt. The hotel said they would try to "re-open" the room for other potential guests. I only assumed that honest and reasonable people running a hotel would give a partial refund for nights when the rooms were rebooked, if that happened. Our friends who stayed at the hotel reported that one room appeared to be re-booked for a night and the other room was re-booked for two. It only seems fair and reasonable that they would give a partial refund. But no... the hotel profited from my mother-in-law's broken arm and our forced cancelation. They double dipped by also collecting payment from additional guests. They made MORE money than if we had been able to arrive and stay. Again, I never asked for a full refund. I understand that. But the fact they would refuse repeatedly to give a partial refund... that makes me want to NOT reschedule our vacation and not give this hotel a second try.

The room was gorgeous, spacious, comfortable. Modern, with coffee machine, excellent shower, big comfortable bed, small balcony with view to Barbaresco in an old house in the centro storico on Neive, a most beautiful village of Italy. There was a bit of dog barking noise one night but otherwise silent. Charming receptionist. They could do better with water provision, no re-supply and only a small amount provided. It would be 5 stars until breakfast....Breakfast is included but was plated food consisting of cake, 'cream' filled cannoli, sweet croissant: nothing I want, that would all be wasted after. Ghastly orange coloured, sweet juice. Dust dry bread. Good cheese and bowl of fresh cut fruits and coffee. There is cooked food on request at extra cost. The restaurant in the evening is also mediocre. Better to stay and decline breakfast, go elsewhere. Would go back for the room and location in a heartbeat.

Fantastic spacious room, comfortable bedding and good quality linen; very clean and very friendly staff. The breakfast is also excellent and the view superb from all the rooms. Walk to everything in this very charming village and easily accessible to all the towns and vineyards in the area.

Lovely room, lovely dinner and lovely people. But beware the room above the kitchen, where the frequently-used double hinged door in the busy kitchen was very audible in our room (note for the management, you can probably change this quite easily with different, less heavy duty hinges). Check out their own wine - also lovely.
