Marina del Cantone Chalet

I stayed with my wife (8 months pregnant) on Monday at this campsite. It was around 00.30 when it all started. We found unknown people outside our bungalow who tried to enter our home by forcing the door. Imagine a lady waiting, the fear in those minutes. Of course, we didn't know if they were thieves or simple ***** trying to occupy a bungalow. After making sure that they had entered another free bungalow, next to ours, we ran away and had to go and stay in another place, paying among other things 200 euros. It must be said that in those moments I tried to contact the facility by telephone but nothing, no one answered because there was no one there, not even a guard, as was confirmed to me the following morning by two employees. All it took was a little control, a simple security guard at night and nothing would have happened, instead of having a campsite with gates openly at night. P. S. I did not receive an apology phone call, but only an offensive response towards us. If the owner of this property has a little honesty he can make himself heard. I wanted to say that the family problems will be those who responded to my review on Booking since they denied the evidence and questioned our words. My wife and I have no personal problem with inventing a nightmare we experienced firsthand. Mr. De Vita

A little away from the extremely touristy Amalfi Coast, a quieter area with nice, inexpensive restaurants. No sand, but a nice pebble beach. Worth a day trip, e.g. from Sorrento. Reachable by car or bus
