Overall, I would highly recommend Sol Nessebar Palace! From our first interaction we were made to feel welcome. The staff at reception were friendly and welcoming and even upgraded our room without us even asking. No doubt due to the time of year we went, meaning that the hotel was not full, but a nice gesture nonetheless, and a taste of the overall hospitality throughout our stay. Our room was a junior suite, which comes with a separate twin room, the door of which can be completely closed - great for families with one or two kids or a family member who may want to have a separate space. The main bedroom also had an armchair which can fold out to a single bed. The WiFi was great and and the room was spotless! Our room was on the 5th floor, sea/pool facing, and we hardly noticed the evening activities, which was a concern we had when booking the room. The pool and sea view was well worth it! The only criticism we would have is that the room itself lacked the little extras that you would find in many other 5 start hotels, like a fully stocked bar fridge, welcome snacks/drinks or even high end branded toiletries. That said, there was a cold/hot water dispenser, as well as a coffee machine in the hallway and of course the resort itself is all-inclusive. All inclusive food and drinks(yes, including wine, beer and cocktails) meant that you are really spoiled for choice! The dining experience is one of complete abundance and opulence, with a very wide selection of food and drink. The food selection is extensive and rotates every day, so even for those who stay for a week or more, there will always be something new to try! The quality of the food was phenomenal! The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive, even though the restaurant is a self service buffet. Although we did not make use of it, there is also the option to buy selected bottles of wine as well. The house wine on tap was really nice! When the main restaurant was closed, there are various spots throughout the resort to pick up a snack in the form of a slice of pizza, burgers etc... As with many all inclusive hotels and resorts, there are some things that come at an additional charge, like parking on site, sauna, beauty treatments, room safe, etc.. but the basics are all covered! We are looking forward to our next stay which is already booked!

There were 4 adults and 2 children in our group. We all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and wanted to stay there for another week. Rooms were a good size and very clean, towels and bedding changed regularly. Food in main restaurant was good and plenty of choice for all of our different tastes. Most of the other restaurants were not open at the end of May, but we didn’t mind as perfectly happy with choice in main Restaurant. The German bar was open and the Pretzels were amazing. Evening entertainment wasn’t the best but we did stay to watch a couple of evenings when they brought in some acts. Massages in the Spa were great, definitely recommend. We walked to the old town in Nessebar, really not that far, would be 15 mins walk without kids, probably 25 mins with kids. Worth seeking out Michael’s Eco Bar for a drink stop while you’re there. We caught a taxi to Sunny Beach, taxi’s were 20 levs in the day time and 30/35 in the evening. It was busy and slightly edgy, wasn’t really my vibe, prefer things a bit quieter so only went once. Tips: if you have kids take a few extra levs to this hotel as there is a Candy Floss and popcorn machine (5 lev), also go carts (4 lev) and a Zorb (15 lev). The kids absolutely loved all of these. We enjoyed spending time at the beach by the hotel, free sunbeds if you’re staying at Palace. I would also recommend the beach towards the right of the hotel, a couple of minutes walk along, they do charge for sunbeds there but there’s a lovely beach bar called Llian’s Restaurant and Bar which serves great food. We did the Tui Catamaran Cruise, wonderful! Dolphins swam alongside the boat. Compared to what I would expect of a five star in the uk I wouldn’t say it’s five star, but had all the facilities we needed for a lovely holiday.

We stayed for 10 days from 23rd May. Not everything on site was open due to season only just starting. HOTEL/GROUNDS Grounds/reception area cleaned and maintained regularly. There is a shop on site that sells drinks, alcohol, chocolate, Beach things, souvenirs etc. Currency exchange at reception and a ATM. 3 lifts available. Games room with pool tables and PlayStations, both are extra cost. First Aid room and Travel Agent help desk also located within hotel. The beach is really close. The water is calm and shallow but there is a bit of seaweed. Sunloungers available at no cost. There is a spa, hairdressers and gym, however we didn’t use any of these. Zorbing and mini go carts are available for extra cost. The wifi was awful, only really got connection if you were in the reception or dining area. In the room it was very hit and miss and by the pool it was non existent. Pools - The hotel shares its ground with 2 other hotels (same chain) There is 3 main pools one for each hotel then a smaller shallower kids pool with a slide then a baby pool. There are 5 slides, you need over 12 to go on your own, under 12 can go on with an adult. You can’t move the umbrellas but there are plenty of them and there are plenty of sunloungers. There is also an indoor pool. The signs say no inflatables but this isn’t policed and they allow them. This may be different in busier times. Improvements for me would be that the WiFi needs to have a much better connection. ROOMS (we booked a family room) The room had a large comfy double bed with plenty of bedding/pillows and a smaller single bed. Plenty of hanging space for clothes but no draws. A mini fridge is in the room and can be stocked at additional cost. Air con was ok and TV had loads of different channels but only one in English. There is also a safe available in your room for a cost of 7 Bulgarian lev per day. The bathroom is a decent size with a good flow shower and a bath. There is also a hairdryer. Towels are replaced daily and the bedding every few days. The rooms were clean and there were 4 plug sockets. We were on the sixth floor, there is a little balcony with a table and chairs and a drying maiden. FOOD Only the main restaurant and German snack bar were open. Didnt try the snack bar but the main restaurant is buffet style and the quality of the food is really good and there is a lot of choice that is constantly replenished. No problem finding a table to eat. You can eat inside or outside. Sign says there is a dresscode but this didn’t seem to be policed. Beware of seagulls if eating outside. During the day there is ice cream, pizza, chips and donuts available at selected hours. Popcorn can be purchased for extra cost in the evening. Staff - all the staff we spoke to were polite, friendly and did everything to make our stay enjoyable. They all went above and beyond and are a credit to the hotel. The evening entertainment wasn’t great for older kids. Seemed fine for younger kids. Th

This is by no means a 5 star hotel or resort. At best its an average example of a 3 star hotel. Non of the facilities offered in the sales blurb are available on site- there is no American diner, or Chinese restaurant nor Spanish tapas resutrants. You only get one basic restaurant. There is 3 hotels sharing one site but you can not use the dining facilties of the other 2 restaurants. Each hotel uses wrist bands with specific colours for each, so if staff notice you in the facilities of the other hotels you will be asked to leave! They point this out in there on line QR code app, which stipulates you only use the main restaurant of the hotel you reside in. The room accommodation is very tired and requires modernisation, I'd estimate that the rooms were last renovated 10-15 years ago. If you have ever stayed in 5 star hotels in central Europe, Asia or the USA then sadly you will be massively disappointed by this hotel and what little it has to offer. We booked with First Choice and feel their sales infor on line massively over hyped this hotel and is very misleading-which has added to the disappointment felt. If I came expecting a 3 star hotel then I'd say this hotel its suffice for providing a place to stay and get your head down. Sadly expecting a 5 star and ending up with this hotel has spoilt the 2 weeks a year we get for a holiday.

Room good. They got 3 hotels all put into one. Too many children for me. Meal times terrible looking for a table. Food cold. Taxis a rip off. Location nothing near. Won't be back. Show time repeated every week.I was there for two. Animation person said Scots were stupid.

We went for 11 nights on the 1st of may, not everything was open but the hotel opened the slides for us on a few of the days. There was plenty to do and the animation team was amazing at getting people involved with the activities. The room was amazing, there were plenty of food options as I am a fussy eater and normally struggle to find things to eat. I would definitely return in the future.

We arrived at the end of September. Every day the cleaning ladies changed bed linen and gave clean towels. The food in the restaurant is delicious. Large selection. The staff was very smiling. Boys and girls at the pool bar very great. They should get raises! At the reception they allowed us to stay until the bus arrived for free, so it's a super plus for us!!! We rate the hotel and everyone working here highly. We will definitely come back here but in the peak of season.
