MPM Hotel Arsena - Ultra All Inclusive

Great location, hotel is right on the beach & is a short walking distance to Nessebar old town! The staff is excellent and the food selection at the buffet is varied, flavourful and plentiful!  The facilities are very old, furniture in the rooms is dated and in dire need for an upgrade. Rooms are very basic they lack proper lighting and electrical plugs especially by the night tables.  Sun loungers are very uncomfortable and the umbrellas are small so they barely protect you from the sun.  Our stay was enjoyable overall, mainly thanks to the staff and the excellent location of the hotel

Hotel is nice reception staff, and the young l staff i think thai in restaurant are really nice and work hard.. Bar staff very miserable not sure if its a language barrier but they could smile and be more friendly. Food at pool bar 10/10 restaurant food always cold even if your first in , couldn’t eat breakfast stone cold. No english tea bags every other flavour and ok if you drink coffee im just (glad i brought my own). Excellent cleaners and friendly. Overall stunning view, nice rooms just need hot food.

Currently staying here from 12th to 22nd for 10 days. Room/suite is massive and def can't complain and has a great sea view. Weather early season so far has been a bit hit and miss but kind of expect that. The food is good, I can only say good as its typical all inclusive stuff and definately not exceptional. Nice stroll down to old nessebar is lovely and a typical old town as you'd expect really. But I still 2 lev each which some reviews were saying 5 years ago so no inflation there. But.....and only a small but....some people say its really cheap??? Take off the really, its ok but only on par with home and someone said 3 course meal for 2 people is £40! Show.me where please as is double that but on hol it's the usual . May update after the full 10 days here 👍👍👍

I enjoyed the stay, most of the staff were good, people friendly, lots of food, nice views, good location, relaxed attitude to starting and finishing serving, arrived late and was given a sandwich (would have been nice to have vegetarian option very minor point) and good beach. The chambermaids put the towels on the bed in different shapes such as swans, shells, it was nice touch. I can always find faults, things that can be improved (in dining room, would be nice if they had coffee filtered, rather than queuing), outdoor swimming pool very cold, indoor warm, car parking expensive 25 Lev a day, but there was free parking about 100m away, kids entertainment went on all day, would have liked it elsewhere. Some ideas - routes to places, local and further away including bus routes, nets in bedrooms got bit by the mosquitos. The picture from the Front on the Brochure looks naff, but would recommend the hotel.

It's not our first time in Nessebar, but it was our first time in MPM Arsena. We went to other hotels in that area and none of those was that bad. The good parts: - the food was ok, enough choice for everybody and it was fresh - the pool was clean - the bar had many choices for drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) - private beach - location - right on the beach - beach bar The bad - by far, the room was the worst thing about this hotel - cleaning was the worst that I have seen, speaking about long-term cleaning (mold between the tiles, stained sealing, stains on the walls, see the pictures) - we tried to change our room, but they didn't want to change it - the toilet was leaking, addressed to the reception but nobody came for the whole of our stay (4 days). More than that, the person from the reception was trying to explain to me in a bad English that maybe it's not the toilet, but from the ceiling. - the windows in the bathroom was so badly positioned that people from the other room could see me siting on the toilet - the view was to another room - in the room was so cold, that I came back home with a cold. Tried to adjust the temperature, but the thermostat didn't work at all; even switched off ventilation completely from the thermostat, but ventilation was still on. - the chairs on the beach don't have a small mattress on them, you sit just on your towel - on the private beach there was no "security". People that were not staying in the hotel were coming and sitting there and someone even took my chair while we were in the water. - the beach bar didn't have all the drinks - the outside of the hotel looked dirty - some of the stuff didn't speak English and were sometimes rude If you ask us, you are better off to another hotel than this one.

Booked direct with hotel and booking system wasn’t easy. Booked 1 room then got error message ‘ room cancelled due to payment failure’ so re booked then discover I had 2 reservations and paid deposit twice. Cancelled 1 room and still trying to get deposit back. Stayed 4 nights for our wedding anniversary so asked for sea view room. On arrival surly receptionist said sea view not possible and handed us the most old fashioned door key to room c702. Avoid this room due to balcony overlooking car park, next doors window and next door sitting on their balcony. Asked to move and again told not possible. We never sat on balcony which was a shame as got sun in afternoon. Used it to dry towels . Only there for 4 nights so didn’t ask again . Room was clean and air con good. Fridge in room and 2 bottles water free every day. Safe is 10 lev per day. Hotel in great location, sea Front and about 15 mins walk to the beautiful nessebar old town. Food quality and availability good . Drinks plentiful but cocktails a bit fake/ syrupy. Also no Diet Coke!! Bar staff quick and friendly and hotel was kept very clean. 2 pool towels provided in room. Sadly no cushions on sunbed so quite uncomfortable. Nice pool and of course beach front too. Had we had a better room the hotel would be great value for money. However the room we got really spoiled our stay. I would return but only on an assurance we would not get that type of room.
