We love staying here. The location is perfect for putting our kayak on the river from the parking lot! It is an easy, beautiful walk across the draw bridge to the downtown area with all the restaurants and shops. The views are amazing. The breakfast is adequate but not overly fancy, as is the rest of the hotel. The price is very reasonable, however, which makes it our go-to hotel. It is only about 30 minutes drive to Atlantic Beach, also, and much less expensive than the hotels there.

This was my first stay at the Doubletree. In fact, my first trip to New Bern. I'm very happy I stayed there. The staff was very friendly and helpful, no matter how often I went to the front desk with questions. In particular, Elias Hernandez made going to the front desk something to look forward to. Beyond being helpful, his outgoing personality was infectious. You just couldn't leave without being in a better mood. The rooms are spacious with large TV with multiple HBO's, a microwave, mini fridge, safe and coffee maker. The housekeeping staff were the friendliest I've ever encountered anywhere. Outside the hotel has a huge deck overlooking the marina with lots of chairs to sit back and enjoy the sunsets with. I look forward to going back to New Bern and if I do, I wouldn't hesitate staying at the Doubletree. Great place!

Chole at the front desk made the entire check in experience excellent and efficient. I walked in and another couple had just checked in, the phone was ringing and I was next in line and Chloe handled everything with polite professionalism. Later that evening she gave me a fantastic suggestion for a great local Italian place and the fresh pasta was a real winner. I've completely enjoyed my stay here thanks to her.
