Great location at the garden district. Easy access to the tram ride.
Staffs were friendly. If you like the old new orleans flares this would be the perfect hotel for you
We had the suite. Beds were very comfortable. Extra living room was perfect.
Don't miss out on their amazing rooftop bar view.
However the hotel needs some remodeling.
Carpet is old, bathroom outlet isn't working. Bathroom overall needs update. Needs more light fixture. 1 elevator is not operating. Another one was down for half a day.

房間打掃總是跟不上，和前台反覆説了好幾次還是不打掃的。房間整體風格比較老式，該有的都有，浴室特別空，太老式了老想到恐怖電影。開門用的是鑰匙，房間號還是兩把鑰匙相加之和，整體是比較神奇的體驗，一個保持自己風格遠離現代化和商業化的酒店。

My first and not my last stay. Everyone was a joy from valet, to desk, to lounge, to cafe. Lovely location on St Charles with easy distances to the Quarter, CBD, Magazine St shops and more. Seems to be a very popular weekend night spot for locals, too!

Amazing Place!
We picked this just randomly because it was close to an event and man did we strike gold! We loved this place. It's not as hectic as the French Quarter scene but easily catch a Trolly to the quarter if ya like. The jazz bar was the shining gem for sure and was a blast! Lots of little places to eat and drink if ya like with a more relaxing type of vibe! Great staff and architecture was amazing! We will definitely be staying here again!

We had such a wonderful stay at the Pontchartrain Hotel in New Orleans! From the moment we arrived, the valet staff set the tone—they were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and so quick to help. The front desk staff was just as kind, making check-in smooth and easy.
The real standout was the restaurant team, who went above and beyond to make our family (especially our little girls) feel cared for. The service was thoughtful, and the food was excellent—the famous Mile High Pie is an absolute must-try!
The hotel itself is beautiful, in a lovely area where we felt safe walking around. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with one of the best showers and bathrooms we’ve ever had in a hotel, and the beds were wonderfully cozy after a long day of exploring

We stayed at the Pontchartrain Hotel in New Orleans in August 2025 for my husband’s birthday, and the experience was extremely disappointing.
When we checked in, we were told the previous guests had taken the only key. The hotel doesn’t use digital keys, so staff said an engineer would meet us at our room with a new one. After waiting in the hallway for 15 minutes, another staff member found out the engineer had never even been told to come. He also said he couldn’t make a key that night and we’d have to go to the front desk every time we needed to enter our room.
We had no way to secure our belongings and ended up barricading the door with furniture to feel safe. The hotel felt old and a little dirty, and the only compensation offered was a single glass of wine. The next morning, they refused to adjust the bill because we booked through *******.
Poor communication, lack of security, and the outdated, unkempt condition of the property made this stay one of the worst we’ve had.
