The 4-person family room I booked has two 1.8-meter-long beds. It's clean, the bathroom is equipped with a spa tub, and the front desk service is polite and thoughtful. The problem is that Highway 44 passes by the hotel entrance, and there are cars rushing all night! There seems to be a garbage station on the back street of the hotel. At around 5 a.m., a large garbage truck stops by, and the diesel engine keeps humming! Be careful if you want quietness

I booked a Double or Twin Room in The Metrotel for 3 people staying two nights in New Plymouth. First, the room is spacious enough that we could have our own space during the stay and everything is neat and tidy. The location is very good, close to the two major shopping venues, drive to the beach for 5 minutes. We are the last one, the first one on the second floor is on the road, there are many vehicles, and the supermarket delivery truck is a bit noisy in the morning. Service is better, free parking.

Ariki Backpacker is in a great location, close to the museum, the coastal walkway, and a large market within walking distance. The staff were very friendly, and it was nice to be able to do laundry at a low price and rent a bike at a very good price. It was a guesthouse with great facilities overall, such as a small movie theater-like room, a restaurant, and a bathroom. The cleanliness was also good.. I will definitely use it again next time. I highly recommend this accommodation..
