This is a great value for money accommodation. If you are looking for a clean and reasonably priced accommodation in New York, I recommend it. The bathroom and toilet are shared, but they are clean and not too crowded, so it is worth using considering the price. However, it is a bit inconvenient when you need to go to the bathroom or need boiled water while sleeping. The rooftop is fantastic, so it is good to buy a bagel nearby and eat it on the rooftop.

This hotel is owned by Marriott and it's pretty good. It's located on 48th Street, just a few blocks away from the subway station. It's very convenient. The room is also very clean. I'll book it here if I have the chance.

Great hotel in a convenient location! The staff was friendly and helpful. Be mindful of the $40 tourist charge per day when you stay. The only downside was our neighbour who decided to smoke in the room and loudly watch TV at 2 am but a member of staff sorted it out quickly! We’ll be back next time we are visiting NY!

I’m glad I found Pod 39 because it’s so near the Grand Central Station with an affordable price, though the room not big but just the right small size like me. The cleaner done their job well and and the rooftop bar is pretty and great skyline view especially at night. The staffs were friendly and helpful too. And best thing is they provide free walking tour at all Pod branch every twice per week and free coffee each morning. There’s eateries and shops nearby too. 😊

Hotel room and amenities were good. But the staff was exceptional they were very helpful and accommodating our super early check-in. This is how hotel staff used to be, highly recommend. Location is within minutes of grand Central an multiple subway stations.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Our Stay from October 17th to 23rd Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express our dissatisfaction with the experience we had during our stay at your hotel from October 17th to 23rd, 2024. Despite the high expectations we had for your establishment, several issues occurred that significantly impacted our stay. For 3 to 4 days, we did not receive clean bath towels, despite making three requests. Each time, we were assured that the issue would be resolved promptly. However, not only was it not addressed, but on two occasions, housekeeping knocked on our door at 11:30 PM to deliver small towels instead of the bath towels we had requested. Being disturbed at such a late hour is unacceptable and baffling, especially in a hotel of this caliber. Considering that we paid 1,870 USD for our stay, we believe that the service we received fell far below the expected standard. Therefore, we are requesting compensation for the inconvenience caused during our stay. We hope you will take our complaint seriously and respond appropriately to our concerns. Stayed for three nights, the general feeling is average. Location: The location is very good and very convenient. It is across the street from Central Station, where you can take the subway to almost any place in New York. There also seem to be buses to and from LaGuardia and JFK airports, but haven't tried them. There are many places to eat, and there is no problem filling up the stomach, but there does not seem to be a particularly good restaurant. Facilities: The hotel itself is very old, so the rooms are older. Although it is a room facing the street, the windows are too small and the light is always dim. The air conditioner in the room was too loud and had to be turned off while sleeping. Fortunately, I don't need air conditioning when I go. If it is summer, it is probably a big problem. Maybe it is an old relationship, the smell of the room is not very good, but fortunately, the windows can be opened a little bit for ventilation. Service: I have only dealt with the front desk and was very friendly at check-in. Overall, I think it is quite satisfactory, there is nothing to be picky about, and there is nothing outstanding. Breakfast is average, not included in the room rate, needs a la carte, not many choices, average taste. Compared to the price, I feel quite disappointed. However, this is the heart of New York, understand. Will not stay again.

Nice property comfortable rooms a little too rude at the front desk but what do you expect for NEW YORK? And I am a native New Yorker born and raised. They were a little bit too rude for my liking. Don’t know if I would stay here again, but there was nothing really wrong with the hotel. I enjoyed my stay until I was practically being kicked out by housekeeping when I was two minutes past 11 AM. I was in the room closing up my suitcase and he violently knocked on my door to ask if I’ll be paying for another night or getting out. Wow

The hotel is in a very good location, you can see the Empire State Building right outside. It is very convenient to go to any attractions in Manhattan, whether by subway or on foot. The hotel front desk service is very good, and some people can speak Chinese.
