"The Hampton Inn Newark Airport is a conveniently located hotel just 10 minutes from the airport. The complimentary breakfast was great, and the room was a good size. However, I found my legs and feet itchy after sleeping in the bed, so I would recommend that the housekeeping staff focus on cleaning the bedding more thoroughly. The check-in process was a little cumbersome because I didn't have an international debit or credit card, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to people who are looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay near the airport. Here are some specific things that could be improved: The bedding could be cleaned more thoroughly to remove any allergens that may be causing the itching. The check-in process could be streamlined for guests who do not have an international debit or credit card. For example, the hotel could create a process where cash can be accepted for incidentals without having to wait to get approval from the manager. "overall the hotel was not bad it smelled amazing as soon as you walked in…the room was beautiful only thing i didn’t like was this big white thing inside the room which was kind of weird.Bathroom was beautiful but my toilet seat was really loose.There was a centipede in my room that totally freaked me out…a couple hairs in my bed and in the shower.Breakfast says it starts at 6:30am i went up to the 9th floor exactly at 6:30am and the lady who made the breakfast said it didn’t start till 7am.So i waited came back and ate and the food was horrible literally the sausage was dry and the potatoes were not fully cooked.I give this hotel a 3.8 review just minor changes that’ll make it a full 5 star.The picture i attached is of the centipede that freaked me out."

"Stayed here after a late night flight into EWR. The hotel had a free shuttle that picked us from the airport. The staff was very welcoming despite our late check in and short stay. Rooms were clean and comfy!"

"Location :across the street from the new jersey performing arts center.. Walking distance like 5 mins to lots of food like pizza... burger king... chicken.. African.. Starbucks.. Dunkin donuts.. Shopping rainbows.. Like 6 other clothing places.. 3 hair stores... About 3 nail waxing n lashes places.. New Jersey Museum 15 min walk... 7 eleven.. Military park 1.min walk.. Prudential center 15 min walk.. Newark Penn Station 15 min walk also Amtrak is inside there.. Great location 15 car ride to new jersey garden mall Shuttle free:on the hour at the airport take the airtrain to P4 then go down stairs there's phones for robert treat n Tryp call and they will. Let you know when it's comin.. Rooms: the first queen room they gave me smelled like smoke I had to wait an hour for a new room... Customer service :very helpful Restaurant : very nice food prices reasonably good 15 for burger n fries which us normal"

"We loved how close it was to downtown and very close to Penn Station to take the train to NYC. It was clean and bright and their restaurant was very nice. The staff was not very friendly. We got locked out of our room because the battery was dead. They could not replace the batter so we had to back up all of our stuff and move rooms. We did not get so much as an apology from the staff about the inconvenience. When I talk to them about the room change I asked if they could make sure the fridge was plugged in since we would be out when the room was ready. The front desk guy just said ”you will have to ask housekeeping to do that” I had no access to housekeeping to ask them. The evening front desk staff was very nice."

"It is surrounded by highways, so it is extremely difficult to get there by car. The shuttle vans from the airport are black and white, making them difficult to distinguish."

"Hygiene is OK, but the service is really not good. The front desk clerk had several late-night faces, without even a hint of a smile, and forgot to give us breakfast coupons when we checked in; There is no hair dryer in the room, and the bottles of body wash and conditioner are empty, and no one has refilled them after saying twice. The hardware is also average, probably because it is relatively old, the noise of the air conditioner is huge, and the switch from the bathtub faucet to the shower faucet is not easy to use when taking a bath."
