We have stayed at this hotel a few times but not for quite a few years. We noticed a big difference since visiting last. They seem to cater more for weddings than just your average guest now. When looking through their Facebook page 9 posts out of 10 are advertising for weddings and we weren't even sure they were still taking bookings for regular guests. The restaurant is no longer open and it seemed very quiet there although we did stay on a Monday night in January so we put it down to that. We stayed in 1 of the rooms out of the hotel which was fantastic, very clean, spacious room with a huge bed, a double shower and a beautiful bath. We only have a shower at home so I made full use of a lovely relaxing bath. The lady who served breakfast was very nice. Chatty, happy and helpful,. Breakfast was delicious and you can tell they use decent products, no cheap rubbish

Attended a wedding here. The venue, catering and staff were all of a very high standard. The whole day went perfectly and I'd thoroughly recommend the Emlyn Hotel as a venue. However, several of the guests who stayed overnight, mentioned the poor quality of the beds. Ours was a sprung bed, very, very firm. I could feel the springs and had to sleep on the duvet. It was a shame, as otherwise the room was very comfortable.

Lovely hotel , for overnight stay. On arriving we were met by Josh on reception. Told us all we needed to now about stay. On inspection of our room no 1 we found a leak in radiator shower room . Spoke to Josh and he said he would relocate us to a new room . We were happy to stay in room and he said house keeping would solve issue next day. Josh provided us with information on pubs shops and restaurants very polite service. Breakfast was a good choice, lovely staff and very friendly. Definitely stop over again when next in this area

I visited this hotel today with a friend who was taking photos for a wedding, the place is lovely with some quaint little cozy seating areas, the staff are extremely helpful and really pleasant. Julie the wedding organiser is so professional and her attention to detail is second to none. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, the area where the wedding ceremony took place was so pretty and the foyer leading to it was lovely. The staff were on hand all the time helping guests and directing them to where they needed to be, It had beautiful well kept gardens perfect for wedding photos with lots of little different areas for different arrangements of photos for small or larger weddings. A lovely seating area at the top looking down on well kept, beautiful gardens. Once the photos were taken it was back into the main room for the wedding breakfast Wow what a transformation it looking stunning with beautiful arranged tables. We were not actual guest but we were offered food from Julie which was so nice she didn’t have to do that, the food was WOW absolutely delicious and we sent clean plates back and my friend said if I was at home I would be licking this plate I totally agree. Well done to all the young staff you were so professional and I was impressed that’s every table was serves like a military operation amazing to see , Well done all I would 100% recommend this place .

My sister got married at the Emlyn hotel yesterday and what can I say. The staff were absolutely fantastic, especially Julie who couldn't do enough for us and looked after our two daughters well. She was always about and checking if there was anything we needed. The place was spotless and well looked after. Food was absolutely divine and everyone spoke highly of the venue, food and staff. Thank you so much for a fabulous day. We look forward to coming back one day again. Diolch 😁

We have just spent 2 nights at the hotel as we needed to attend a family event nearby. We stayed in a classic double room which was positioned at the side of the hotel rather than in the main building. This suited us perfectly as we were able to return after the main door was locked at 10pm! The room was very clean, compact, but enough room for 2 with a small wardrobe area, a comfy bed and a fabulous shower. The breakfast was lovely and the lady serving was very friendly and efficient. We would perhaps have preferred to have the option to eat a little later as the kitchen closed at 9am, but we appreciate that this makes business sense as the hotel clearly provides a service for local workmen who want to eat early. Ample parking too

Just for context - I was not a guest. I was a musician at a wedding last night. One thing I have never done is leave a review on a venue I play at because why would I? But today I'm compelled to. STUNNING venue. The staff are AMAZING (Thanks Julie). It's very rare that we (the band) have ever felt to accommodated and looked after by the staff. We were shown where to set up, given space to change and freshen up, Julie and her team made sure that it only the guests had a great time and were looked after, but us as the performers were also. Nobody tried to whisper in our ears to announce the buffet was open (which people always do mid-song while we're wearing in-ear monitors), instead a little sign was held up. Small things like that make not only our jobs easier, but a better experience for the guests also because nobody wants to see venue staff wade through a dance floor and pull you to one side in the middle of singing a chorus just to tell you the hog roast is ready. Oh, and hog roasts at weddings are super common and generally very nice. BUT - This hog roast and coleslaw were SOMETHING ELSE. Maybe it was so good because we didn't have that bitter taste in our mouths from being directed to a disabled toilet to change into our suits to perform. As a wedding vendor and artist, I've never been so compelled to tell the world about a venue. Yeah I post on Facebook if I've had a great time, but this was a top-tier wedding experience for us as a band. Thank you so much to Julie and her amazing team. - The Wurlitzers -
