Upon arrival we were greeted very nicely by Jackie. Who instantly made us feel at home with a cold beer and fresh banana cake. The rooms were exactly as described and everything clean and tidy. We opted for her full English every morning and this was the perfect start to every day with fresh coffe too. She was very friendly every time we saw her asking if we had enough coffee f everything fresh towels loo rolls etc which we always did. We where also able to keep our boards in the garden and hang out wetsuits up every night which made everything so much easier. I wound highly recommend staying here to anyone

11 of us stayed for a the weekend taking in some activities. Five minutes walk from the town and beaches. Jax was a great host, welcoming us with beers and cake. Her knowledge of Newquay and places to eat and drink were spot on. Breakfast each morning was just what we needed to start the day!

We had a lovely stay, welcomed with a drink and a smile. A superbly comfy bed we also like logs! Jackie was a great host, helpful and friendly. We are looking forward to going back. The place is a few minutes walk from town and the beach, easy to find too.

Excellent position: few minutes away from the town centre and Fistral beach. The owner Jackie has been extremely friendly and sweet, welcoming us with banana bread and beers! Also possible to book surf lessons at Newquay Activity Centre. Functional, clean and comfortable rooms. Super recommended!

A group of 14 of us stayed at Smarties Surf Lodge for a long weekend and the host Jackie was fantastic! Helped us co-ordinate some activities before we arrived and then cooked us an amazing fry every morning! Perfect location to reach all local bars and attractions!

I stayed at Smarties Surf Lodge for 3 nights as a solo traveller wanting to spend some more time exploring Newquay/Cornwall following a surfing and camping weekend. Jackie was super friendly and responsive and the ensuite room I had in her B&B was perfect (and very well priced) for what I needed for the few nights I was there - clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was also great, being only a short walk to Fistral beach, the main high street and the bus station. Thank you Jackie for a lovely stay.

It has been my second time staying with Jackie, her surf lodge is amazing for a getaway, surf weekend or a couples holiday. We stayed in the double room with en suite. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jackie who kindly gave us some lovely chilled beers to start the getaway off on the right foot! Jackie is absolutely amazing at recommending hidden treasures and things to do in Newquay! We will be back again! Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Jackie was an excellent host. We stayed for 4 days, and were very comfortable and well taken care of. Jackie cooks a mean breakfast for £8 with as much coffee/tea as you like whenever you want it as long as you ask the morning before. We were greeted at the door with beer and banana bread. The WiFi was strong, the price was lower than most places in Newquay and we could keep our boards and wetsuits in Jackie's patio area. Really short walk to Fistral beach, equally short walk into the city centre. Could not recommend this stay any more - Thanks Jackie!
