Wonderfully comfortable and lovely luxury tented accommodation in the Caprivi *****. Staff gave very good service! It is very dry following the drought so don't expect water views or loads of game. Our boat trip was an absolute highlight. Don't expect gourmet meals - this is in the middle of the bush and logistics must be a nightmare. Thanks to Sabrina, Westie, Chef, Owen and Collins for your friendly professionalism. A great stay!

The nature did not disappoint despite it being the dry season. The guides, Westie and Derek did an excellent job. In general it must be said that the staff were very friendly. HOWEVER, the lodge experience was certainly not what we expected, especially given their reputation and the cost. The food offered was absolutely mediocre. We had much better food in much cheaper options like Halali Camp in Etosha which is not a private sector operation! All credit to the poor chef who tried to present something attractive. However, there is no excuse for stale bread sticks, stale muesli, etc. The first evening’s beef stew was inedible, so tough! Our last evening saw the worst sirloin steak I have ever been served??? Our sleeping quarters could not be locked from the inside.???Those of our companions could not be locked from the outside??? Local management apologised that service, etc might not be up to usual standard as we were staying over the weekend and half the staff were away?? Our trip included more than ten lodges. The Jackalberry experience was the second worst, only beaten by Ngepi Lodge😩😩

Understanding that the region is in the grips of the worst drought in living memory and that therefore the Linyanti River and surrounding flood plain were not as normal we were still very impressed with this National Park. The camp is the perfect size as far as we are concerned, 4 client tents means a max of 8 guests. The tents are well appointed, bed was really comfortable with great linen and towels. The shower was superb. I went on a game drive with Derek and we found a pride of lions (after hearing them calling all night) in short order and then lots of other species, including lechwe, impala, warthog, reedbuck, kudu, wildebeest. I did see lots of leopard spoor and we were unlucky not to see one. In the afternoon we went on a boat cruise down the Linyanti and saw great numbers of birds, hippo and crocs as well as elephant feeding in the papyrus swamp. I have been a professional safari guide for over 30 years and would highly recommend this camp for a short duration stay 2-3 nights in the winter May- Sep months.

Beautiful and charming place, unique in its design! Immersed in an unparalleled environment. I just have lovely things to say, the staff was very professional and friendly, the food was good and abundant, the kindness of Simone was 20/10, always ready to help and make you feel at home. We dream to be back soon.

What a perfect, peaceful and remote location! This lodge has only 4 “glamcamping’ rooms, each of which has the double bed, fly nets, air fan (not air con) and built in shower and toilet. There is also a central building for the main lodge area, which is built into a Jackalberry tree over 3 levels, this has the dining area and 2 viewing and seating platforms and a small bar. It is not easy to find,,,,a good 20 km over dust roads with random signing, so get the satellite coordinates and make sure it all works in advance. Once here the food is very good (set menu with no choices each day, you can adjust to allergies and limited preferences) served 3 times daily. Game drives, river drives and night drives all possible and offered by the lodge. All rooms are clean but being tents heat up a LOT during the day, so make sure you leave them to be aired, at night they call off quickly however. This place is ideal for those wanting to be off of the beaten track….

Want to be close to nature? Not afraid to drive a challenging (4x4 ) road? Perhaps this tented lodge is up your alley. It definitely is in the middels of nowhere in between Namibia and Botswana. Only four tented lodges gives you the feeling of having the place to yourself. Sweet people, nice food however it lacked finesse and felt clumsy occasionally. The entire spot deserves an update.

This is a very intimate, low-key camp that will give you a truly African Safari experience. With only 4 tents and situated far from any other human activity it is a true gem. The camp is run on solar energy so do not expect air-conditioning and hair dryers here. The tents have everything you need: lovely, comfy beds, coffee/tea station and open-plan bathroom. The food is good and plentiful. We loved hearing the sounds of the bush at night and seeing all the warthogs wander through camp. Robson, Sabrina, Trayphina, Simone and all the staff made our stay very memorable. Thank you!
