It was an unforgettable experience! We slept three nights in the tented chalet: clean and with a veranda directly on the river where we saw the hippos....😃 The staff is very kind, helpful and very attentive to our requests. We asked to change chalets to have a better view of the river and we were immediately satisfied. The breakfasts and dinners were impeccable...... they pay a lot of attention to the service and quality of the food. Everything was perfect!! Thanks again Eliana and Roberto

We were expecting something fairly basic. What we found was exceptional. The campsites are huge, more like compounds with a reed fence all round so very private. The ablutions are lovely with hot water each morning and evening. There is a lovely bona with break and kitchen facilities. The site looks out over the flood plain with constant activity - red lechwe, little bee eaters, otter, etc, etc. Plenty to sit and watch. This is the perfect place for a very good rest and only 5 minutes off the B8 main road. Make sure you don't miss it!

Lodge did not match up to expectations. Food was Ok but somewhat strange at times, but there was a rather "run-down" appearance to the property as if the owners have not been there for a while.

Camp Kwando remains a very special establishment. Camp Kwando is a setting next to none, client service of the highest level and their menu is the best we encountered during our entire 8 day trip.

We stayed one night at the Kwando bush camp close to Kongola. This was an excellent location for visits to Bwabwata NP. Friendly and helpful staff. We left our chairs, table and fire wood out in the afternoon and during our visit to Bwabwata it started raining. When we returned to the camp, they had put our stuff under roof, so everything was dry. :) Clean facilities, and there was a lovely little deck to see the sunset.

We had a lovely experience at Camp kwando. and their food, the Best! their homemade bread,oh! love it.we had a Wonderful view of the river. looking at the hippos every Morning was mush a treat.

We had a lovely stay at Camp Kwando. The guys make sure we had warm water and everything was clean. However, the river is very over grow with plants at campsite 1. Maybe it could be open up just a little bit. In need of anything - the Metro at Kongola has everything

Amazing every time! We have stayed at Camp Kwando many times and will always go back when we get the chance. It is not just the friendly staff, spectacular food or clean and comfortable rooms that makes us choose them, but also the breathtaking views and the closeness to nature. As birdwatchers, this is a perfect spot to find specials in the area, including those species which prefers habitats such as floodplains, rivers, miombo woodland, acacia savanna, swamps, etc. The lodge’s proximity to Nkasa Rupara Nation Park, Mudumu National Park as well as Bwabwata National Park is a big plus. One can experience nature right from your river front patio.
