Family-friendly Hotels in Nice

Negresco is probably the best hotel in the area. It has a collection of 6,000 pieces of art. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are large, but the layout is messy and tasteless, like a hodgepodge. The rooms are partially renovated and some facilities are a bit old, such as the beds. But the hotel is in a very good location and the hotel's private beach is beautiful. The view is excellent!

Location wasn’t in the heart of the city centre. Had to take a tram to promenade des anglais area. But tram was located just 2 mins walk from the hotel so that’s okay. Room was generally clean but the carpets seemed a little dirty. Great thing was the staff were all really friendly and helpful, and could speak English well!

The location is very good. It is easy to walk to the beach and major attractions, and it is very close to the subway station. The hotel entrance is a little low-key. The room is larger than it looks in the photos, especially the bathroom. The master bedroom has reasonable furniture and ample space, with a double bed, a sofa and a small table. The window overlooks the street park, with a good view. In addition to the double sofa, the second bedroom can also place a dining table outside the window, and the space is also sufficient. The breakfast is average value for money. Overall, I am very satisfied and still recommend it.

Hotel location is good, located near the old port of Nice, one kilometer walk to the old city walk, ten minutes away. Has its own parking lot, a bit cramped, rich breakfast, and the room is relatively spacious.

We confirmed that we could arrange airport pick-up one day in advance. When we contacted them, the first person who answered the phone said that we could not arrange a car and had to wait for an hour. The second person who answered the phone said that we had to wait for two hours. The third manager who answered the phone said that it would take four hours. We booked this hotel because we had elderly people with large luggage and saw that there was a shuttle bus. I didn't expect that the Novotel brand in France was so dishonest. Because it was a prepaid payment, if we didn't drag the three large suitcases and find a way to walk there, the money would not be refunded. This is the consequence of prepaid payment. We finally arrived at the hotel and entered the room. At first glance, the so-called window was fake. When it was opened, it was a partition in the wall, and outside was an equipment station on the road. The sewer of the pool was broken. I only washed my hands and dirty water began to overflow. The water from the overflow hole of the pool would flow directly from the partition where the hair dryer was discharged... I was fooled once. Chinese people don't cheat Chinese people. What the clerk meant by a 5-minute walk is that you can walk here by yourself, it's very close... It should be that if you fly to work every day, and after getting out of the airport you cross the road in order to punch in at work, you should be able to get there by running.

The hotel is located one block away from the beach and right in front of a Tramway station, which is very good, since you probably will have to take the tramway (or walk around 20-30 min) to get into the restaurants and the old town. This tramway line is the one that gets into the airport and on the turistical points. Trip offered a category of room that, according to the hotel staff, does not exist on the hotel (triple bed). I was traveling with a friend and we didn't want to share the same bed. First, staff didn't want to change our room saying they were complete. After insisting, they found another room with 2 beds, but the AC didn't work fine on this new room. After the check-in, the staff member forgot to give my passport back. When I asked for it, he said that ”he wanted to keep seeing my picture because I was very pretty” 🙄. Unecessary, embarassing and not funny at all. Rooms are comfortable enough and correct for a budget hotel.
