Skalva Nida

We stayed in Skalva both in summer and winter, and it was flawless. The rooms were extra clean and cozy, one with a sunny view of the lagoon and the other facing a quiet pine forest, perfect for hot summer months. The friendly staff was always there to help, thank you! We also dined at the restaurant near the lobby and were surprised by the high food quality. They always have fresh seasonal dishes to offer and a variety of drinks, no need to go elsewhere! We will surely come back again, it's our hidden gem in this wonderful city.

Although a bit far from the town center, the hotel is a nice peaceful haven surrounded by the forest in the back and a big beautiful lawn/park ending with the view of the bay. We had a deluxe room on the ground floor with the terrace and exit into that lawn. It was an excellent setup for our family with 2 kids, because we could go right outside straight from the room. It also gave a nice home feeling: kids playing in the lawn while you have your morning brew in the terrace. The street and neighbours are like 100m away so you can relax and let the kids play in the lawn following them with your view only. The room was neat, clean and spacious, with some basic kitchenette. It was getting somewhat hot on the late noon-evening, the staff even provided us with the fans, but since we were outside most of the day, we didn’t really mind that. The restaurant was really really good. It didn’t look like much at the begining, but everything we ate were of outstanding quality. We tried all breakfast dishes (eggs Bennedict, English breakfast, cottage pancaces, and scrambled egg) and they were all very good. We tried 2/3 of the lunch/dinner menu and everything was excellent too. That’s really hard to find in any restaurant, especially in Lithuanian hotels. And of course we enjoyed lively evenings in the same terrace restaurant drinking cocktails with friends and enjoying last hot days of the summer. Although simple and quiet, the hotel gave us a home-like all-inclusive feeling where you can relax all day long with a few trips to the town and the beach. A peaceful place to wake up at and a great place to finish a good day of vacation.
