When sitting in the lobby area, you can enjoy the snow view of the garden. The food and service are up to standard. But the most disappointing part is that the onsen water in the room was not hot at all, I had to pour hot water to make it warm.

Location:- The hotel is walking distance from train station and although bus is irregular, it is manageable. There is a small (super friendly) convenient store & restaurants near the hotel.
Hotel Food - expensive but top Japanese quality
Hotel Service - Superb.. ***** definitely 5 stars. I misplaced my phone and despite its late (almost 10pm), they helped me to search, even outside of the hotel., and in the end found it blocked by (under) my open suite case (i was packing to check out next day).. very embarrassing for me 😅😅.. so I really grateful for their patience and going out all the way to help me 🙏🙏

Location : not many shops or restaurants nearby, need to drive 20 mins to the town of 鬼怒川
Facilities : indoor onsen water is super hot, no electric doors when I return hotel around 20:00, Wi-Fi in the room is quite weak， water leakage in the toilet of the room
Services: front desk old woman can’t speak English as expected but bad attitude, no smile at all. She did not even try to offer any assistance when I ask her to help me to give a call to car rental shop

I stayed there by myself. If you want to enjoy a stay, hot spring and meals, I think it is a good ryokan. There is no sauna in the bath. Meals are not prepared unless you make a reservation. However, from my point of view, there are no unnecessary facilities, so I think it is a good ryokan that I would like to stay at again.

The hotel environment is good, the public areas have been renovated and are very new, the rooms are a little old, but the area is large. You can only choose two times for dinner: 6 o'clock or 6:30. You can only choose two times for breakfast, 7:30 or 8 o'clock. If the time doesn't match, you can only give up. I booked a one-night, two-meal package, and left Nikko at 3 o'clock in order to catch up with the morning dinner. And the dinner was not very delicious.
